Remember what you did...

Luna Loud faced the bathroom sink, shaking and breathing nervously. Her hands trembled as she struggled to hold the kitchen knife. Both hands had to be used, and even then, she couldn't fully grasp it steady, no matter how tightly she was able to. Cutting herself seemed easier said and done. She felt nauseous, almost enough to vomit. The sensation to gag wasn't lost on her, so she did so, and nearly let go of the knife.

No, I can't do this. I can't do this...

The half-smoked rolled up blunt, still lit on the sink's surface, was laughing away, the only horrible audience to lay witness if Luna ended up slicing one of her wrists. The aroma had already claimed the bathroom in the five minutes the rocker had been there. If mom and dad would come to talk to her- No, when they would, what less could they think of her? How much less could they love her? How much less could any of the family members love Luna now?

G-guys...

She finally motioned her left hand toward her right arm, and the knife was planted sharp side down to her wrist. It hurt alone as her skin was penetrated by the blade. She sucked in some breath, reeling in and holding her breath. Her dark green eyes became surrounded by a light reddish color where it was usually white, and things got blurry from then on.

She seethed, and grit her teeth before, at long last, slit away at her wrist.

I don't want to live!

Luna did her best to try and look away from the bleeding cut she made, and was feeling ten times worse than she had just seconds ago. The sliced arm was slowly giving her grief.

One... More...

The knife dropped to the floor once Luna let go of it with her hurt arm, and made a horrible clanking sound on the floor's tiles. "Oh, fuck! Oh, fuck!" She tried to pick it up, but stumbled forward and fell over herself. Her head hit the locked door, and was immediately rendered out cold.

She blinked with a headache, developing a painful seizure with the parade of multiple white lights in front of her. Then, she scrolled her eyes and felt rather odd. No, the lights weren't actually in front of her, but rather over her. She was flatly laid down somewhere, but not alone. Voices. Many. Her eyes were yet adjusting, but she wiggled some fingers and tilted her head. "Whuzzz...?"

She felt more better this time, and her breathing reverted to normal. In fact, she felt tranquil, calm. There was no harmful object in her hands this time. Everything came to, and before her eyes, Luna was face to face with a stranger in white clothing, who was holding a clipboard. "Miss Loud? Are you fully conscious?"

Luna bobbed her head upwards as her reply, and then let it plump back down weakly. "Wh- Where am I? Am..." Luna didn't consider the fact that she might've been dead. "Oh, my God!" It terrified her enough to roll out of the bed the Royal Woods medical staff assigned her to, and tried to crawl towards the window. "NO, I DIDN'T MEAN TO! TAKE ME BACK! I WANT ANOTHER CHANCE! GUYS, I'M SORRY! I'M SO SORRY!"

The female doctor had already gone into the hall, having known the exact drill of the situation.

Luna was now proned, and looked out the window, crying with so much heartbreak. She didn't notice her wrists were both laced with gauze wraps until after she realized she was still alive. "...Oh, god..." She insisted to let herself whimper with pain, and looked at her gauze covered arms.

The female doctor and two guards stood in the doorway, and when Luna looked upon them, she raised a hand and gave herself peacefully. "Sorry, dudes, I- I'm sorry..." Luna returned to her bed and remained silent, wiping the tears and moist lines from her face. "I'm okay..."

"Well, I guess that answers my question," the doctor conjured with light humor. She took out what Luna believed was a pen until the fair doctor jammed it in her face and clicked a button that turned a white light on. It burned her eyes, but Luna recognized it as routine check-up. "Do you remember what happened before you woke up here? Is there any discomfort in your arms?" The doctor removed the light from Luna's eyesight.

Luna recalled the knife in her hand, the drug intoxication, and the falling. "I hit my head... Damn it!" Her head was still throbbing, so she pressed a hand to help ease the tension. "And, I was a little high, yes."

"Miss, you're leaving out the key event that witnesses, some of your family relatives, had reported that there was a kitchen knife present, suggesting this was a suicide attempt. Am I correct?"

Sweat rolled down the back of the broken rocker's neck. Her hands twitched a little, unclear of what to confess to her unnamed doctor. She closed her eyes, unsure of what would come next.

At this point, she was sure everyone, or at least half of her family were notified of what Luna was aiming to accomplish. Even as she cut herself once, there was that resistance that squirmed against the act, which explained the need to vomit. Butterflies, but in reverse. Any moment, mom and dad would come and shout and scold her. Or, perhaps they'd barge in a worried manner, hysterically crying out for their only rocker child. And the others... Would they understand? Would anyone understand?

"Silent treatment, huh? Well, so be it. I trust you can remain put while I attend to another patient." The doctor extracted a remote that accessed the flatscreen placed across Luna, hung high on the wall, and set it down on Luna's lap. "In the meantime, here's this so you don't get bored."

"Thanks..." Luna lifelessly uttered.

The foosteps and harsh, quick mumbling came all at once. Among the countless voices, Luna believed she recognized Lori and Luan among them. At first, it was quiet, but serious. Luna pretended to be asleep, to spare herself from Lori's harsh talking. She didn't need to hear the shit from her at this time.

"S-so..." Luan looked over the "sleeping" rocker.

She knew, she had to have known what happened. Luna felt the joker's silhouette stand over her, wordlessly judging her, looking down at her. Looking, in a whole new way Luan would've never imagined in a million years.

The comedienne ran her fingers down Luna's right arm gently, and stopped at the covered up cut Luna inflicted upon herself. "Oh..." She let slip a faint whine and covered her mouth.

The shadow shrunk out of Luna's view, followed by soft sobbing. Luan was terribly hurt by Luna's ordeal that transpired not even a week ago. Who wouldn't be hurt at this point? How much-

Luna gasped.

How much damage had she done? That was when she attempted to remember the events.

The party. No, it was a rave. A heavy one. Chunk had invited her there, and Luna recalled inviting and bringing her crush Sam Sharp. Sam. The weird blue pill neither of them had ever seen before. Ingested with beer.

Luna's head spun as she tried her hardest to remember how it happened. But it was after the few beers she took that, due to herself suddenly feeling very thirsty for reasons unknown, everything became a nasty headache of a blur. Her mind shut down somewhere on that point in that hardcore night.

It came in pieces. Vomiting. Some shouting. And-

For a second, she thought she saw it. A bloodied up Sam, sprawled on the floor.

"S-Sam? What-?" That was the part she had trouble with, but the worst part was how the night ended. Things cleared up the moment Chunk brought her home, and there was some sort of serious look on his face. When she first saw that look, she assumed it was just personal business. She disregarded it when it was still new and fresh. Or maybe something had occurred in the dance floor back there. Whatever it was, Luna was too busy throwing up and gagging to figure it out.

She fell right out of the passengers seat and had trouble getting back on her feet. And when she did, she was slurring out a messy thank-you and forgot to close the van's door behind her. She limped it back to her house, singing drunkenly.

The current time was lost on her, so when she reached the front entrance, Luna was welcomed with a hard yanking from Lori, who seemed to have been waiting for her for a good while. It wasn't just Lori there at the scene; it was a group made up of Lynn, Luan, Leni, and Lori. All four were unmistakably crossed with her.

Luna barfed all over Luan's skirt and socks, and pushed her away to crash on the couch. "T-too tired..."

Luna was fairly disgusted and became more distracted by the mess Luna made from inside. "My clothes!"

"LUNA!" Lori was in charge of the many siblings that night while mom and dad had had gone to visit Aunt Shirley for reasons unknown. It was past eleven at the time Luna had come home, and all the kids under Lynn's age were vast asleep. Hopefully they didn't wake up.

Leni was the one who qualified to be asleep with the other half, but she chose to remain up to see to it that Luna was punsiehd severely, since their parents had left the hour Luna was due to return, but her failure to do so, amidst the unanswered calls and the non-responsive texts, had made them turn to Lori to make sure Luna got more than enough lip from her, as well as the consequence of all the teenage girls now having an earlier curfew for the next month, and Leni wasn't just the only one infuriated with all of this. The four teens were assembled in anger before the intoxicated rocker.

"YOU ARE LITERALLY IN HUGE TROUBLE!" Lori was not about to let Luna drift off to sleep just yet. She pulled Luna to a sitting position on the couch. She had already figured that Luna was pretty much shitfaced at the moment. "WHAT DID YOU TAKE, OR DRINK?"

"She stole something?" Leni asked.

There was no time for a facepalm. Luna mumbled something Lori didn't hear. "WHAT WAS THAT?"

And it happened there. Luna disliked Lori's 'tude indefinitely, and in addition to the yelling that gave her a nastier headache, she ended up punching the oldest sibling in her dumb, bitchy face. Luna didn't even punch that hard, and yet Lori had received quite a knuckle sandwich.

Lori forced her hand and pinned Luna to the couch. "STOP IT!"

It took a few seconds for the unholy pain to sink in. Her face went numb, and her mouth ached heavily. She was going lightly, unlike Luna herself. The rocker was squirming about and kicking her feet all over the place. "Let me go!"

Luan, who had remained silent, decided to open her own mouth at long last. "Luna, please calm yourself. Let me get you some water, okay? You're not yourself..."

It was quite the understatement of the night. "Sh-shut yer...-"

Lori brokered her voice to a lower tone and let go of Luna's hands, hoping Luna wouldn't try anyrying funny again. She allowed the punch as a freebie. "Mom and dad are going to be here soon, and-"

"You drunk fool! You ruined it for the rest of us!" Lynn had half a mind to berate and punch Luna. Maybe that's what she should have done, but no one would ever know if Lynn was able to.

Luna couldn't handle the screaming; she took out her phone and in the next second, it flew right into Lynn's noggin and did some serious damage. Luan gasped in sheer horror upon seeing Luna act so vicious and aggressive towards her. Yes, the rocker really was out of this world.

Now Luan jumped in to help Lori. They each had ahold of one of Luna's arms and kept her down. "Sister, please! What's wrong with you?"

Luna seemed rather short-tempered in her current state, a rare side to behold in the eyes of both of them.

Leni was on Lynn's side, giving her some aid by blowing air into her face with her own mouth. "Oh my gosh, she's not waking up!"

Rocker kept trying to break lose from them both. "Get sure handsh offuhh meee!" Bonus points for creativity were in order when she hurled again, this time on Lori's face. Both girls instantly let go of Luna.

Lori plummeted to the floor, falling on her knees. She wiped away the nasty barf with her elbows, shaking her head at the same time. "EW EW EW! MY EYES! LUNA, I'M GOING TO-"

Luna piggybacked her, tugging away at her hair while drunkenly riding away. "Giddyuhhhp! GIIDDYYHHHUP!"

If it was being recorded by Luan, it might have been funny in the later years when everyone revisited their childhoods.

Luna was also spanking away at Lori's ass as she pulled on her set of of blonde hair. Lori the horse had enough and knocked Luna back as she strained and rose up. The drunk fell, and that's where it wrnt down. The extreme punching, the merciless kicking. Luna would have never let it happen, or do something of the sort if she was sobered up. But the monster in her went AWOL and played with Lori like a ripped hackey-sack. Luan was thrown right over the couch when she tried to step in, and gave in after that.

Luna didn't know where Luan was after Lori had been left all badly beaten up at her hands. "Dahhhs roooight, luvv... Don't wonnuhhh fuuu-...'" And the drowsiness kicked in higher this time. She was out and fell right beside Lori.

And that was it for that night.

The following day presented an even worse schedule for Luna; not only was thsre a heap of trouble with her folks, but also with Sam. A very angry, hurt Sam who showed Luna a throbbing selfie of her face. Luna had punched her quite hard for some reason, and Luna was only still hungover when she had seen the text. That's when she decided to give herself self-inflicted cuts.

Here she was, in the hospital bed, all alone to wallow in her own pity. Her phone had been off for the night, but she didn't wish to turn it back on.

It hurt her own heart to know what she did to Lori, Luan, Lynn, and Sam. Sam, the crush she dreamed of being with. She wished she never went to the stupid rave, or that she didn't have a taste for drugs.

She wasn't expecting any visitors today, but she definitely got one in the form of little sister Lynn. There was no time to pretend to be asleep. "Oh... Hey, Lynn."

"Save your breath..." Lynn went and sat over Luna's legs. "That's seriously some dumb crap you pulled off back home. You happy with this? You happy hurting the others?"

Luna studied the athlete of the family. This was a side Luna had yet to see of Lynn. The athlete was actually talking down to Luna, not in a coaching way, or as a teammate in a basketball match. "It was my choice-"

"Were you deciding to really hurt yourself, or was this a lame suicide attempt?"

Luna flipped to her side, turning away from Lynn. "Fuck off..."

"Really? You're seriously gonna tune me out?" Lynn took a sigh. "Luna, you've been changing, and we've all noticed for awhile. You've been going out at night more often than you usually do, and you've skipped over three of our nightly confession meetings last week alone. Not only that, but your attitude has... I don't know... It feels like you're distracted, maybe disconnected from the world-"

"Disconnected? Are you really saying I'm off-grid?" She finally turned and threw daggers into Lynn's bright green pair of eyes. "What can you possibly know, you loser?"

"Loser, you say. But I'm not the one who cut myself and ended up here. You got it... You've got your wish. You distanced yourself, until you actually became distant. I'm here because the others are afraid to come visit you. You really did a number on Lori, and I'd be cheering you on for that, but I shouldn't be, and thats why I'm not here to applaud you. Truth be told..."

Luna dropped her death glare.

"I'm a little scared of you, too. After all, you did knock me out, if you do remember that." Then, she laughed. "If alcohol is a boost in physical strength, I'm all for trying it when I'm legal."

"So..." Now she knew; they feared her. "You say you're afraid, but you came here anyways?"

Lynn raised her shoulders. "I face anything that's scary and it'll help me control over the adrenaline. Notice how I'm not at all frozen when I came in? It's totally working."

Luna didn't even remotely care. "You done? I want to be left alone."

Lynn just shook her head. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Not so fast there, I'm still eager to know what's the story behind all of this. At the end of the day, we're sisters, and we support each other."

Luna looked away. "You've never once really come into my room to chill out with me, but it takes me ending up in the hospital to finally have a reason to?"

"Ha, touche. I mean, you could take it up with Luan, ask her to switch with me."

"Gotten used to her ugly snoring, love," Luna snorted.

"Have you heard mines, though?" Lynn teased.

Luna raised an eyebrow. "Is that a serious question? We've got really think walls, of course I have! But..." Luna leaned her head back and sighed. "I would appreciate it if you dropped in once in a while."

"Yeah, that's my bad, Lunes. Sorry." Lynn spat on her left hand and extended it out to Luna. "Are we okay here?"

"You are fairly disgusting, you know that?" She only gave Lynn the stink eye that told the jock she wouldn't touch that. Then, they both began to laugh their hearty, signature laugh.

Lynn rested her hands over her lungs and refilled herself with air, inhaling in relief. "Ahhh, so... About this whole thing-"

"Fine, alright yeah. I'll tell you all when I get out of here. I need time to cool down from all of this."

Lynn could tell the rocker was at her serious form. She only gave her a nod back in agreement. "Fair enough, take all the time you need. I'll let the others know." She felt like it was a done deal, and the exit cue was this. "I'll see you back at the house."

"Wait!" Luna yelped. "Come..."

"Huh?" Lynn looked back at her, curious, but alarmed. "What is it?"

Luna broke out of the sheet that covered her in warmth, quickly getting up to approach Lynn. The athlete had gone back to level zero of handling her fear, not knowing what to expect. What she received was just a loving hug from the sister who did wrong, and wanted to make amends to atone for her immorally malevolent actions.

Lynn knew not mush or sappy moments really, but she allowed this from Luna. It wasn't a hug that one of them needed, but both. She smiled joyously and returned the notion of Luna's sisterly affection. "It'll be okay, Luna. We have to take care of each other, forever and always."

AN: The setup for this fic will be different than the past ones I've done. For starters, the chapters are not going to follow some sort of continuity, but rather they're all structured like an anthology, one that will be no more than ten chapters, each revolving around a specific sister, and only once. Of course, I'm still setting it up, so it's not a confirmed ten chapters, but that would be what must be assumed in the meantime. Considering Luna's chapter was done, it won't center on her as a main, but don't worry, you'll still be able to see her progression as part of the background somewhere within the next chapters.

I have a good feeling about this one. Anyways, until next time, readers!
