The Moon Girl

Luna at on her crescent and stared down at the world below as her sister's chariot left for her night duties. She was unknown to the other gods, even her brother Apollo . Her mother Hera was the only other person who knew about her, but she kept her a secret. She stared around at her many children, the stars with her black eyes. All she could think about was the fact that she was alone, the unsung hero. It was she who controlled the stars ,not her sister.

She could not hate her sister. Someone had to take credit. She lay back against the moon, the only place her mother felt was secret enough for her to live as she brushed her moon white hair out of her eyes. Luna knew that somewhere in the world below, someday, somehow, someone would love the stars again, and until that day came, She would just have to wait a little longer.

A couple of nights later, down on earth, a blonde boy sat on a log, in the middle of nowhere

"Why, Why, it's not my fault it happened. I didn't cause the crash" He stared up at the stars through bright blue eyes. It was a cool, crisp night, not a cloud in the sky. "Ok, Jason, pull yourself together. You were kicked out because your step-father thought you were driving the car that killed mum. You don't know where you are, and you have about $20 cash. Think!"

With that, Jason put his head in his hands, and began to think.

"LUNA,WAKE UP!" Luna opened her eyes, to see her mother looming over her.

"Yes, mother" she said politely as she sat up. If her mother was angry, she had to wait it out. To her surprise, her mother dropped down to sit next to her, put her head in her hands, and wept. "Mother, what's wrong?"

"Oh, Luna, I have been such a fool" the star goddess was surprised at this. Her mother NEVER, said things like this. Before she could ask why, her mother said "I wanted you all to myself, but I told someone I thought I could trust, and they told my husband. I.." She took a deep breath "I'm sending you to earth, to help a boy who just lost his mother, and was thrown out by an abusive step-father." This surprised Luna very much.

"Mother, why?" Then she realised "It's so I can prove myself to the gods isn't it?" Hera nodded.

Luna took a breath, then stood, along with her mother. "I'm ready" Hera kissed her cheek, then raised her arm. That was the last thing she saw.

A loud blast sent Jason flying.

"WHAT THE HECK!" He screamed, then he spotted the girl with long silver hair, eyes closed, lying in the centre of a shallow crater not far off. "Oh no!" He dashed up to the girl and shook her small shoulder. "miss, are you ok!". The girl groggily opened her eyes, revealing them to be Pure, meteor black, with no whites at all.

"Hello, I'm Jason, what's your name?"

"Luna, my mother sent me to help you" This startled the blonde

"Wait, what? How can you help me?" Luna sat up, so she was sitting/ kneeling. Then he smiled

"I am Goddess of the stars Jason, every night, I have seen you looking at my children. Jason was shocked, this young girl, was a goddess, of the star? "Jason, I know what your father did to you. Let me help you!"

Jason took a deep breath, and he nodded.
