"Shu...My beloved Shu! I'll find you. I promise."

Nuns of the air weren't allowed to marry outside of the Temple. Any attempt was rewarded with the punishment of isolation so when her grey eyes met his of ice blue they knew they were doomed from the start. Not that they didn't try.

Pakku of the Northern Water tribe was held back by gust of air as Juleah was lead away by the monks of the Northern Temple. She screamed and reached out with a clawing hand as she was pulled away.

OMA!

He looked at her with those sad eyes that flowed with tears.

Shu...

She was held up only by the monks that held her as something in her soul screamed out in recognition. Then his eyes of the ocean looked up at her and he smiled a smile of a thousand mistakes and no regrets.

It's not going to be this life either.

Her screaming stopped as her soul answered his as it always did.

I'll find you again. I promise.

A little firebender girl looked into the golden eyes that claimed higher class in the Fire Nation. Something inside of her chilled and caused her throat to leap into her stomach then get pulled back up in the span of a second. His young eyes hooked on hers as her mother pulled her along the gangplank. A brief flash of silken robes passed in the corner of her vision before it was gone and the same women in those robes embraced the boy and still his eyes remained hooked on her muddy brown ones.

Oma...

The girl breathed deeply as her mother tried to pull her out onto the bridge but she refused to budge from the top of the gangplank. Soon the women who hugged the boy looked up at her with narrowed eyes but she didn't care.

Please let it be this one Shu...

Her mother tugged on her hand saying something about a cabin. The women tugged on the boy shirt sleeve. The boy's eyes saddened.

No. Not this one either.

He looked up at the women and smiled half heartily. They began to walk away as the ship started to leave the harbour but he turned around and looked at her with those golden eyes. She looked back with big brown eyes.

I'll find you again Shu. I promise.

They were in a cave of crystal that resembled the one they had made with only their raw love. They hadn't sensed each other at all in this lifetime. Like when Oma was still in the spirit world and Shu was not.

Oma?

Gold eyes sunk into her soul and built a bridge halfway to hers. It was unexpected like finding your loved one in the crowd of the market.

Shu?

She bridged the rest of the gap and their souls intertwined and resounded to the beat of one heart. Souls embraced even when bodies did not and minds were oblivious.

This one, Oma. This is going to be our happy ending.

Katara was shocked out of her stare as she and Zuko turned to the hole that had just been blasted into the wall and as Katara walked out with Aang she looked back into Zuko's soul where her heart was unknowingly kept.

This one. I promise Shu.

Centauries of lifetimes dating back to before benders and finally they had found it. Had found their happy ending. Finally brought together by the entity that they didn't have any of the other times.

The Avatar.
