Percy held Annabeths hand as she limped as fast as they could through the dark pit.

"We… should be closer…." whispered Percy to her.

They talked in whispers, as if someone was going to listen to their small talk. But someone probably always was.

The Heroes' shoulders were parallel to mostly vacant prison cells of monsters 10 meters away from each other. Their shoes dragging across the dirt. A chandelier swinging over their heads containing the Greek fire that illuminated the darkness.

They continued on forward Annabeths ankle bothering her again. Even though she estimated about of time spent the the pit was around five weeks the ankle still hadn't healed from the fall.

That's what she called it. The Fall. When Percy let go of everything just so that she wasn't alone. So that they both could be together.

'As long as we are together' echoed through her mind again. It was like the latest pop song running over and over in her head.

They soon came to a stop at a dead end. It was a tall dirt wall with a metal door in the middle that had a faded sign that said 'outside' in Greek, Latin, and English on it. It has claw marks and dents on it, attempts of escape.

Percy looked back at her and gave her a weak smile. His hair was more tousled than usual. Bruises were placed on his cheek and a cut that went through the left side of his jaw line. Clothes tattered and his left hand's wrist seemed to be broken.

Putting his hand on the knob he quickly opened it and tossed Annabeth outside before closing the door behind him.

The sudden burst of sunlight stung Annabeths eyes, and she found herself in another world. Green trees everywhere no signs of the door except for a side of a mountain. There was green grass against her fingers and the cool breeze of the wind was overwhelmingg. She took a glance at Percy who sat down next to her on the grass.

"What's wrong?" she asked him slowly getting up wincing.

"They aren't here," he said quietly to her looking her in the eye, "Jason was supposed to be here. Piper, Leo, Frank, and Hazel were supposed to be here. Supposed to save us. Where are they?"

"I…I don't know…" I responded to him softly.

"We have to leave from here and get away from this place as fast as we can," he said confidently forgetting about the others.
