Grantaire the Drunk Bird
A/N: Yay! My first Fan Fiction ever published. This one was meant to be
insane. This is meant to show what the effects of lack of sleep and too
much Seussical and Mountain Dew can do. I do not... I repeat DO NOT own Les
Miserables or Dr. Seuss poetry... I wish I did because man, I'd be rich.
Anyway, Enjoy
There once was a drunk bird
Whose name was Grantaire
He was a student bird
That just didn't care
Well he cared for one thing
Standing out in the grass
And that one thing was
The elephant Enjolras
But Enjolras hated that drunk bird, Grantaire
He hated and berated him
While giving a glare
But as for Grantaire
He would longingly stare
One day he saw him on top of a hill,
Enjolras the elephant, sitting so still
So the little bird, Grantaire, put on a hat and a vest
And decided that today he would try his best
For Grantaire was sure that if he was well dressed
That elephant, Enjolras, would be impressed.
Grantaire flew above him
And heard Enjolras say,
"I wish that that Grantaire
Would just go away."
He said, "Go away and never return."
The tears in Grantaire's eyes
Started to burn.
So Grantaire went to see Eponine the Eparoo
But she was on a visit to France-e-faloo
"I have to get help from that smart Eparoo
Because hopefully she will know just what to do."
So without leaving a note
Grantaire just flew away
For he had to, just had to,
See his friend today.
The next day, Enjolras saw that Grantaire
Was not up in his tree
No! He wasn't there
Was Enjolras happy?
Was he relieved?
Au Contraire, He was really quite peeved!
"That bird drinks all night
And he drinks all the day!
Did my wish just come true?
Did he vanish away?"
Then came a think.
'Twas a horrible think!
A think that really, really did stink!
"What if Grantaire was suddenly caught
By a toothy, hairy, scary Zhot?
I have to save him!" The elephant cried
"What'll I do if that drunkard has died?"
But Grantaire was safe, with the young Eparoo
And her brother in her pouch
Who was just about two.
She gave him advice
To make Enjolras nice.
And she said,
"Grantaire, let me some with you."
And her cute baby brother said "Me too!"
Enjolras sat by a river called Seine
As he tried to massage a horrible back pain.
He had searched all the day
And had searched all the night
But there was no trace of that drunkard in sight
"Why was I mean?
Why was I cruel?
I treated him like dirt
From the land of Farpool.
"All he wanted was a friend
And he really did try
And it is all my fault
If he really did die.
I promise I will never be harsh again
If you bring back Grantaire
And help me be his friend."
Now Grantaire had heard this
So had Eponine
Maybe Enjolras was no longer mean.
Enjolras then walked to Grantaire's nice tree
And he planted a Zulip
For all to see.
But Grantaire had a few tricks up his sleeve
And he ran up to Enjolras
He just couldn't leave.
Enjolras saw him, behind a scruffy-scruff bush
And he ran up to Grantaire and-
Dang! What rhymes with bush?
Oh well. Anyway, Enjolras hugged Grantaire
And Grantaire smiled at the Eparoo
And then at her brother
Who was only two.
"Why Eponine, he really has changed
And now I feel happy
And no longer deranged
And now I can see
And I finally think,
We were meant for each other...
And I need a drink!"
The End
A/N Please do not flame as this is my first fan fiction.
