Intro

"Aguri are you sure you don't want me to carry that?" her husband Koro-san asked in concern.

"Stop treating me like I'm incapable. I'm just pregnant," she explained for the hundredth time. But she couldn't deny that she like him being overly concerned about her and their first baby.

"I can't help it," he grinned holding the majority of their groceries in his arms. "I just don't want you to stress yourself out. You do more than enough already."

"Enough?" she teased. "You barely let me do anything."

"Providing a safe home for our child to grow is more than enough."

A sudden gust of wind overtook their street causing many of the bags he held to fall from his hands. But he wasn't concerned about that as he moved to block as much of it from Aguri as possible. The force was enough to set off some car alarms and a woman not too far down from them was blown to the ground.

Koro-san looked up frowning as he caught the last of the octopus-like creature that had flown by in his sights.

They were the upper class citizens. Modifications that cost who knows how much ensured that they were immortal and unable to be destroyed and because of that they went flying around Earth like they owned the place.

"Do they have to fly so low?" he frowned.

"I don't think the problem is so much that their flying low, but rather their flying just too fast," Aguri pointed out. "But gosh, if we could afford to buy just even a limb or two, we wouldn't have to worry about the baby at all. They say if you have those limbs their isn't a virus or disease in this world that can make you sick."

Koro-san had begun picking up their groceries. "I won't lie, it would be nice to afford the whole package and be able to fly like them. Then we wouldn't have to walk three miles every time we want to buy food-"

He looked up having just noticed the woman that had fallen down earlier hadn't gotten up.

"I'm going to go check on her," he told Aguri handing her one of their lighter bags.

"Hey are you alright," he asked leaning down beside the blonde woman.

"I hurt my knee," she pointed out, and he looked down to see it was indeed swollen.

"Yeah, that looks bad," he admitted. "Here I'll help you up. Let's see if you can walk on it."

He pulled her up to her feet on her good leg just as another great gust of wind went by. He held her firm so she wouldn't fall again and turned back to make sure Aguri was okay.

She look horrified, her eyes were wide and she had started to scream a warning to him, but he had already seen the shadow of what was coming. The force of the wind had blown the large sign off the building they were standing in front of and it was about to fall on them.

He didn't have any time to think, he shoved the blonde woman as hard as he could believing he could push her quicker than he could try to run with her, and then their was no time to flee himself.

Their teacher came in late that morning, but when he came in their was a new girl with him.

"We have a new student today class," he said as he wrapped one of his gray limbs around her shoulder and she jumped from the contact.

"This is Yukimura Akari," he explained. "Your seat can be over there by Nagisa. Nagisa raise your hand."

He did and she took her seat.

Nagisa's first impression of her was that she was a very sad girl. She didn't smile or even look happy. New students didn't usually look like that until a couple days of being here. "The bus will be here in a few minutes, keep working on your invitations until it arrives. With that their teacher left.

"Invitations?" Akari blinked and turned shyly to Nagisa who handed her a stack of envelopes.

"Here you can put the cards in the envelope and seal it with the wax."

"Why are we doing this?"

"It's the task we were given this week, Takaoka-sensei has us do a lot of community service projects," Nagisa explains. "Well... that's what he calls them anyway but he gets paid for them."

Akari looked at the invitation. It read:

"You are cordially invited to the endowment of Gakushū Asano," she read aloud. "Endowment?"

"It means he's getting those limbs that make him immune to diseases, lately rich people have been holding parties when they get them," Nagisa explained.

She looked even sadder for some reason.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah..."

"You heard where we're going today right?" a red haired boy had walked up to them and sat backwards on the desk in front of Nagisa.

"Where?"

"We're clearing up the property of that abandoned temple in the next prefecture. I guess they want to turn it into a hotel or something."

"I guess that don't sound too bad," Nagisa said in an effort to sound hopeful.

"So, it's Akari right?" the boy turned to her. "I'm Karma, what brings you to our class in the middle of the year?"

She frowned. "My brother-in-law was injured in an accident. We couldn't afford to send me to the school I was attending anymore, and my sister is expecting a baby. She can't work right now. This school pays the families' of the student's who attend. It's not much, but it's enough for my sister and me to get by. I thought it was strange that a school would pay for students to attend instead of the other way around..."

"Well yeah, as you're gonna find out quickly this is more of a free labor camp. We do what were told until we graduate in exchange for the small sum our parents get as well as a free ride to college," Karma explained.

"What you guys don't study at all?"

Karma actually laughed at that. "I haven't done actual classwork since I arrived here."

"We do try and study ourselves on our own time," Nagisa explained. "We don't want to be completely unprepared for college after all."

"Speak for yourself," shouted Terasaka from the the back. "I want my free time to be for me. I'm not going to spend it studying."

"So we're not actually learning anything here..." Akari frowned. "My brother-in-law was an amazing teacher, he wouldn't have stood for a school like this..."

"He was a teacher?" Nagisa inquired.

"Yeah, that was years ago though. He had to give it up after his very first year because it didn't pay enough and the three of us couldn't live on that wage. He didn't want my sister working, instead wanting her to focus on her studies. She was in college at the time," she smiled for the first time looking happy. "I was in his class too. He called it class E and the E stood for..."

"Entertainment," Nagisa finished for her.

"Huh... Yeah," she answered. "How did you know."

"Is... Is your brother-in-law Koro-sensei?" Karma asked.

"Uh, yeah... How do you know that?"

"I was in class E. So was Nagisa."

"Me too!"

"I was too!"

"I remember Koro-sensei," Rio grinned. "He was way hot, I had a crush on him back then even though I was so little..."

A few of the student who hadn't heard the part about his being injured had crowded around now. "Where is he? I wanna see Koro-sensei again."

"Yeah what's he doing these days?"

"Can we come over to your house after class and say hi?"

The whole class was focused on her now and Nagisa felt his stomach sinking. They hadn't heard. The best teacher in the world was inured and likely gong to die...

"Uh... He's..." Akari jumped to her feet bowing. "I'm so sorry everyone. I hate having to be the one to tell you. But he was injured really bad. The doctors don't think he's going to make it. But... they said they'll try their best so... Please keep him in your thoughts."

The atmosphere in the room fell, not that it was very high to begin with. But now it was at an all time low...

Rio rushed over to her bag and took out a picture and ran back over to them.

She sat it on the desk. "Class E... I remember it like it was yesterday. That was the last time I was genuinely happy you know..."

They all looked down at the picture. Koro-sensei was was sitting on the ground with all of them around him. Smiling and happy. They were all so little and...

"All of us are here," Nagisa said. "Everyone in this class, I didn't realize it. But everyone here... everyone here was there. One, two, three, four..."

He kept counting. "Oh wait, one of us from E class isn't here it seems..."

"Does anyone remember this one?" Nagisa didn't remember him a small boy in the back with white hair, unlike the rest of them he wasn't smiling but he didn't look sad either.

"He was the quiet kid," Toka pointed out. "He didn't play with us that much and he only came to class now and then. If I recall..."

Rinka peeked over Nagisa's shoulder. "What are you guys stupid!" she gasped. "That's Itona."

When no one batted an eye she added, "Itona Horibe..."

Still no one reacted.

"C'mon, every one of us should know him!" she explained. "The Horibe's are a famous family. It's their tech that made the limbs that prevent ailments and the entire body mutation that makes people immortal. His family is basically the richest family on the whole planet!"

"He's rich huh?" Rio grinned. "Maybe we should go say hi, you know. For old times sake."

"Time to leave class," Takaoka-sensei had entered the class. His grey limbs shot forward and pulled the picture from Nagisa's hand. "What is this?"

"Uh, just a picture," Nagisa explained.

"Tsk, this is not the time to be looking at pictures," he snapped tossing it into the garbage. "Move, to the bus now!"

As soon as Takaoka-sensei was out of sight Rio ran back over and pulled her picture out of the trash as everyone else unenthusiastically left for the bus. "We all were pretty adorable back then. My hair was even short. Man... I wish we could go back to those days."

She replaced it into her bag and headed to the bus too.

"I'd like to buy some flowers please," Aguri was at the flower shop near the hospital. She liked to keep her husbands room feeling a bit lively so she brought fresh flowers every time she came to visit. She couldn't really afford it, but... buying the flowers made it feel like she was doing something to speed up his recovery.

"Of course ma'am what sort of flowers would you like?"

"Two lily's would be-"

She was shoved forcefully aside, but not enough to knock her down. A large woman with two limbs coming from her neck was standing there grinning.

"I'd like an bouquet of lilies," the woman exclaimed. "It's my daughter's endowment ceremony tomorrow, and they're her favorite."

"Uh, yes ma'am one moment," the flower girl turned to grab all but two and began to wrap them up.

"You missed two," the woman pointed out looking rather annoyed.

"I'm sorry ma'am, this other customer was about to buy two Lilies."

The woman turned to look at Aguri. She scanned her up and down before turning back. "Well I asked form them all," she pointed out.

"You just wanted a bouquet and their is more than enough her to make one..."

The woman reached out with her limb grabbing the woman's collar she pulled her closer to get her attention. "Do you know how much these cost? I could buy this whole shop from under your feet, now be a good little girl and put those other two lilies in with my order."

"Uh, yes ma'am," she answered and was released rather forcefully. She added Aguri's Lily's to the woman's flowers and held a tablet out for her. The woman placed her limb upon it and the screen glowed. A green check mark appeared.

Smugly she walked out nearly knocking one of her limbs into Aguri as she left.

"I'm so sorry about that ma'am," the woman said frowning.

"Don't worry about it," Aguri responded. "Any two flowers will be fine."

She opened her purse to see she only had five dollars left to her name. "On second thought... I think I'll pass..."

"Here," the flower woman handed her two bleeding heart stems. "It's on me. Go ahead."

"Thank you," Aguri bowed before leaving the store.

It truly was a thread bearer's world. If you had limbs you could pretty much get away with anything. Because one, it meant you had money. Two, it meant very few people could stop you from doing anything you wanted, because honestly what were the police supposed to do? Those limbs gave the bearer incredible strength. They could lift things their arms couldn't, and they could move faster than the human eye could see. It would be nice she supposed. Not having to worry about colds, and being able to multitask. It should would make taking care of their baby easier if she had an extra set of limbs to do so.

The purpose of the threads were to give someone an incredible immune system as well as putting off aging. And if you got the entire body modification you were completely invincible.

If she had the money she would get it to save her husband.

She walked into his room to find a nurse straightening his covers.

"How is he?" Aguri asked her.

The nurse looked up and immediately shook her head before walking out the room.

Aguri replaced the flowers on his bedside and then took a seat beside his bed.

"Hi," she said softly taking his hand. "I don't even know if you can hear me, but the baby was kicking really hard today. I think he misses you."

Their was no movement on his part. No sign of recognition. The heart machine was beeping steadily in accordance with his heartbeat.

"I'm so sorry," Aguri gripped his hand tighter. "This is my fault. I hadn't have been craving ice cream we never would have gone shopping that day and this wouldn't have happened. Please just be okay. Please, our baby needs you, Akari needs you... I need you..."

The machine beside him started reacting violently and she jumped to her feet.

A moment later nurses rushed in and one of them pulled Aguri from the room bringing her around to the window that looked in.

"He's going to be okay right?"

"I'm sorry, I really am. I think you should start...," the nurse frowned. "He doesn't have much time, his injuries were too great. I'm sorry. If their is anyone you need to call to see him one last time, I would so now."

Aguri looked back at him. Her whole world was laying in that bed, and she couldn't do anything to help him...

"It's so hot!" Akari sighed. She was holding her rake close for stability.

"Don't let sensei catch you not working, Trust me, you don't want that," Toka explained.

"Huh why?"

"Sensei is... He's a bit inappropriate with the girls in class, just try not to stand out." Rio explained.

"What do you mean by inappropriate?" Akari asked feeling rather nervous.

"Well..." Toka frowned.

"Actually," Yukiko was looking her up and down. "He may not actually be interested in this one. She's a bit..."

"A bit what?" Akari frowned. What was she getting at?

"Uh... you're not very big..."

She dropped her rake and covered up her chest. "I'm a B cup!" she snapped.

"Uh, yeah sure you are?" Rio giggled.

"Akari," Takaoka-sensei had come around the corner. "Come with me."

"Oh, maybe I was wrong..." Yukiko said frowning.

She turned around slowly to meet his gaze. "Uh, yes Sir..."

She started to follow him. He was tall like the other morphed beings and from the little she had learned about him she already disliked him, though she knew it wasn't okay to dislike someone on rumors.

"I thought you might like some water, it's a hot day after all," he wrapped one of his limbs around her shoulders pulling her closer to him as they walked over to a fountain.

"Uh-oh," Karma frowned holding a bag of trash. The ground was littered with cans and other various trashes they were being told to pick up. Nagisa looked up when Karma spoke and he glanced in the direction of their Sensei and Akari.

"Maybe we should go help her," Nagisa explained.

"She's gonna find out what he's like sooner or later," Karma explained.

"Yeah, but what if he really hurts her?"

"What do you want us to do about that, he's immortal and moves at inhuman speeds, we couldn't save her even if we wanted to."

"Yeah but..."

"I don't like the perverted freak anymore than you do, but we can't do anything about him," Karma explained before he went back to picking up trash.

Akari was already getting creepy vibes from the guy, and it only partly had to do with the wiggly limb wrapped around her shoulders.

"You're new so I thought you might prefer to rest. A girl like you isn't used to hard labor am I right?"

"Uh, I mean... I pull my weight at home. Especially now."

"Yes, I heard about your brother-in-law. Your sister and him adopted you when your parents died right? The man was basically like a father to you," he wrapped his limbs completely around her torso. "I hope you can come to think of me as a father figure as well."

"Uh..." One of his limbs picked up a ladel near the water filling he brought it back over to her.

"Here you are, have a drink."

"Uh, thanks," she reached up to take it from him. Only he wrapped a limb around her hand pulling it down. "I'll feed it to you, just tilt your head back."

"Uh, you know. I'm not really that thirsty after all... I uh..."

"Sensei," Isogai had walked up behind them.

"What is it?"

"Akari's sister is here for her," he explained. "She's just over there.

His limbs pulled away from her immediately.

"My sister's here? Why?"

Isogai shrugged. "She seems upset though..."

"Oh no..." Akari thought she might know and she hurried in the direction Isogai had indicated.

Everyone gathered to see her off in the distance talking with her pregnant sister who had arrived by taxi.

They weren't close enough to hear but something had happened because she burst into tears.

"I guess the guy must have died," Takaoka said in a clearly uncaring way. "I don't mind fulfilling the missing father figure in her life, just like I've done for you."

He had put one of his limbs on Nagisa's shoulder making him jump. His father wasn't dead, but he was away on business a lot. So much so he would see him maybe once or twice a year.

Akari ran over to them and turned to their sensei. "I'm sorry, I have to go. My brother-in-law, they don't think he's going to live much longer. I got to-"

"Take all the time you need," Takaoka-sensei said with a false tone of sincerity.

"Thank you, I'm sorry..." she hurried back over to her sister and got in the taxi and left.

"Back to work children," Takaoka demanded.

They didn't stop working until an hour or two before dark at which point they had to find their own ways home as Takaoka-sensei had left them without a ride back.

On the walk Nagisa was being really quiet.

"What wrong?" Karma asked him.

"I was just thinking about Koro-sensei."

"Yeah it sucks," Terasaka (who was a few steps behind them) spoke up. "But that's life right. You live, you die, and life goes on."

"Itona was in E class with us."

"Yeah what about him?" Karma felt he could see where Nagisa was going with this.

"Guys, everyone stop!"

Terasaka, Karma, Mimura, Rio, Rinka and Yoshida stopped walking. The rest of the class had headed in the other directions to get to their homes but Nagisa and the them were in this direction.

"What?" Rinka snapped.

"Itona's family has created a form that can make someone immortal. Right? If Koro-sensei really is on his last leg, this will probably be the only thing that can save him."

"Those body modifications cost about a million dollars for each thread, it's something only the richest of the rich do, or something top X military officials do (like our teacher) get..."

Their teacher had been a member of the military and was given that body as a reward from the government for his dedicated service.

"I doubt us pulling our pocket money together is going to afford that," Karma explained.

"Yeah, and even if money wasn't an issue their is a waiting list a mile long for that kind of modification," Mimura pointed out.

"We need to talk to Itona," Nagisa explained. "If class E meant as much to him as it did to us, then maybe he could convince his family to do the procedure for free."

"Yeah right," Terasaka snapped. "We haven't seen the kid since first grade, he probably won't even remember us. I barely remember him. And we're just going to just knock on his door and ask him for a favor?"

"It's worth a try right?" Nagisa explained. "We can't just let him die! If their is even a chance, then I think we should take it."

"Tsk.." Terasaka frowned. "Where is this kid's house anyway? Does anyone even know?"

Rio took out her phone and searched for the address, "When your family is the richest in the world, an address is easy to find."

"So we're going now then?" Karma asked.

"I don't think we can afford to wait," Nagisa explained.

"Fine let's go," Terasaka sighed. "Seriously, if he says no I'm going to be pissed."

It was an hour bus ride to Itona's home and when they got off the bus they were standing before a large mansion with a big gate out front.

"Damn it's freakin' huge!" Terasaka gasped.

"Yeah it is," Rio grinned and turning to Rinka she added, "Hows my hair look."

"We're not here to get you a boyfriend, we're here to save Koro-sensei!" Yoshida explained.

They hurried up to the gate and pressed the call button. A voice came through the intercom. "Horibe residence. What business do you have here."

"We're all here to see Itona?"

"Do you know the young Master?"

"Uh... sort of," Nagisa felt nervous. How was he supposed to explain their relationship? Hi we're here to see the kid we haven't seen since first grade? "We uh... We had a class with him. We're...his friends."Chapter 6

"As far as I'm aware the young Master doesn't have any friends," the voice explained.

Terasaka stifled a snicker at that.

"This was a few years ago," Nagisa explained. "Can we just talk to him, it's important..."

"Let me ask his guardian."

The line went dead.

"His guardian?" Rio frowned. "Wonder what their like?"

"He's probably got helicopter parents. Not surprising seeing how rich their family is," Rinka explained.

"Yeah, now that I think about it. This is kinda suspicious. Friends he hasn't seen in years, just showing up late in the day..." Nagisa frowned.

"Children are you still there?"

"Uh, yes we are," Nagisa answered.

"The Young Master will see you now."

The gate opened up and the path leading to his mansion home lit up.

Nevously, they walked up to the doors which opened and a man dressed as a servant bowed and greeted them. "May I take your coats?"

They weren't wairing any.

"I see..." the butler looked a tad disgusted by their appearances. "You may wait for the young master in the study just off the foyer."

"What's a foyer?" Terasaka asked frowning.

"Who cares, it sounds so rich and high class!" Rio giggled following the butler to the room he indicated.

This room was filled with plush furniture, book shelves, and a pool table. Rio sat down on the sofa. "Wow, it's softer than my bed!"

"What the hell is this thing? It's like half a statue. What they couldn't afford the rest?" Terasaka asked frowning.

"I think it's a bust," Yoshida pointed out.

"Guys please don't touch anything!" Nagisa explained nervously. He didn't want to find out how much it would cost to replace if they accidentally broke it.

A door opened from the other end and Itona walked in with his hands in his pockets. The clothes he was wearing were baggy and didn't fit appropriately. But they were clearly expensive and from a fancy brand.

He leaned against the desk looking at them almost as if he were entirely bored.

"So what do you want?" he asked.

That was strange, their was no. Who are you? Or an I don't remember you...

"Uh, well... Do you remember E class and Koro-sensei."

"Sure," he answered. "So what do you want?"

"He's been injured really bad," Nagisa explained. Since your family created the immortal modifications. We were hoping you might be willing to save Koro-sensei."

"And you want my family to pump billions of dollars worth of modifications into a single man who has no way of paying that back? We run a business, not a charity. Besides, even if I wanted to, legally we can't perform any modifications on someone who hasn't signed the release forms. Did you even ask him if he would be okay with this sort of procedure?"

The kid had three limbs coming out his head, but currently they were tucked away.

"Uh, no," Nagisa admitted. "But we can ask his wife!"

'Not a chance, he'll be better off dying," Itona shrugged. "Aruma will escort you out."

"Wait just a minute you rich brat!" Terasaka snapped. "Don't you even care! Didn't Koro-sensei or Class E mean anything to you?"

"Did the first grade class I barely attended mean something to me? I'm gonna say no..." Itona really didn't seem interested headed straight for the exit.

"Itona please, he's got a wife and an unborn child!" Rinka explained. "If you won't do this for Koro-sensei, do it for that kid!"

Itona stopped in his step. "That's even more of a reason to not do this."

"My that's pretty callous of you, won't even do this for an unborn child who's going to grow up without a Father," Karma said clearly trying to guilt trip him. "Where is your Father Itona?"

Nagisa felt his stomach fall when he noticed Itona's expression change. He no longer looked calm and bored. He looked upset.

"You wouldn't have wanted to grow up without your Father right? But I mean if that's a fate you want to give to a small child who hasn't even opened their eyes to the world then..."

"Sometimes kids are better off growing up without their parents. But if you're dead set on ruining his life be my guest. Bring him to the top floor of the hospital at midnight tonight and we'll see what we can do..."

With that he walked out of the room closing the door behind him using one of his limb to close the door.

The next moment the servant came and politely but firmly asked them to leave.

The next moment they were outside watching the gates close behind them.

"Well, that didn't take as much convincing as I expected," Karma pointed out as they started to head back to the bus stop.

"Are we going to the hospital then?"

"Well we have to now," Terasaka sighed pulling out his phone. "Let's let the rest of the class know, we'll need more help sneaking him up there."

"Guys, don't anyone else have curfews?" Rinka asked. "My parents are expecting me home at nine."

"Then go home then," Rio exclaimed. "We got this."

Nagisa frowned. He had a curfew too. But he was willing to break it to save Koro-sensei.

"Forget it, I'm going to. I wanna see this. I'll just get grounded," Rinka frowned.

"That's the spirit," Rio waved to the bus that was approaching to let them know that they were planning to get on.

Nagisa didn't know how they would pull this off, but... For Koro-sensei, they had to.

This story is majorly focused on Itona, but it will include all the other characters of class E.
