Nordrassil
A giant tree on Hyjal's peak,
Stood staunch against the sky.
Giving night elves immortality,
At rest their minds could lie.
...
Leaves rustling softly in the breeze,
Feeling the wind of thin air.
Towering over Kalimdor,
A land that still was fair.
...
Its towering form, a landmark,
It stood unafraid.
Standing for ten-thousand years,
In timeless serenade.
...
And yet the day of fire came,
Of demons' return.
Immortality could still be fleeting,
As the night elves learnt.
...
But yet the mortal races,
For Nordrassil they stood fast.
Yet nothing is infinite,
Against fire, it could not last.
...
And thus the tree was sacrificed,
To banish fire out of fold.
But stood the tree, a withered a husk,
And already world grew cold.
