Waiting Right There
I'm tired of waiting right here in this spot. The same place my mom told me she would be
back. I've came here and waited here for 11 years.
FLASHBACK
"Just wait right here, sweetie, I'll be right back," said the mother blinking back the tears
that were threatening to fall. A little girl, only 4 years old, just nods her head and smiles
holding her little teddy bear. The mother smiles one last time and hugs her daughter on
the verge of tears. She let's go and just walks away too scared to look back at her little
girl, waving to her and smiling at the figure walking away. If only the little girl knew. She
sat at the spot, just like her mother told her, keeping her smile and just waiting.
Eventually time went on, the little girl's smile fell just as the sun went down. Waiting right
there for a mother who would never return."
END OF FLASHBACK
Here I am, 15 years old and I still come to this spot hoping to see the woman who left me
right here at this spot 11 years ago today. If only I knew, that my mother would never
come back but the mother looked down on her from the clouds of heaven crying. If only
she could tell her daughter there is no point in waiting right there anymore.
