Seaclan Forum Challenge – The Bitter Sound of Silence

Darkness flooded his vision and Nightstar felt himself slipping away.

No! It can't end like this! I have plans for Nightclan! I must fulfil them! He thought, panicking. But even he couldn't fight death.

It wasn't Starclan, that was for sure. The place he woke up in was something entirely different. Above him the sky was dark and empty, no stars anywhere. Bare crooked trees stretched up towards the sky.

Nightstar lashed his tail, feeling anger and desperation build up inside him.

He let out a furious cry, which stirred nothing from within the forest.

I don't understand Nightstar thought racing through the gloomy forest I should have been accepted into Starclan with glory! I made Nightclan strong!

It can't end here!

Not here!

Nightstar raced through the forest, not caring where he was going. It seemed endless anyway. A cursed place he had to spend eternity in!

Torntail! His fault! He made them all betray him! That piece of scum manipulated Starclan and my clan!

His eyes widened in shock as his foot caught a root and he collapsed. He glared ahead into the forest, a fierce snarl escaping his lips.

The dark furred tom lay there on the ground, thinking about his final fight. How Torntail suddenly struck him. Oh he had been suspicious, but Torntail and his band of traitors had been careful. He didn't want to waste good warriors in case he wasn't right.

Oh but he should have went with his instinct. Those traitors! Nightstar got to his paws and looked around, his piercing yellow eyes narrowed. Turning to a tree he unsheathed his claws and struck them across the tree bark.

He will pay for this!

They all will!

Fur bristling Nightstar began to pad through the forest, but this time he was searching. Searching for a useful place or someone with knowledge of the cursed place he had been dumped in. That way perhaps he would find a way to get the revenge he desired. Only that could quell his fury.

But no matter how far he walked he couldn't find anyone or any place that could be useful, which was quite infuriating. He couldn't find a place that could link him to the living world or Starclan.

But I must get my revenge! He thought lashing his tail in frustration.

As time passed he kept searching, searching in the silence. The bitter silence.
