Face it John. I've lived with you for a year and a half. I notice everything. If there's something to know about you, I know it.

John smirked. Really? You know everything there is to know about me?

Yeap. I know your age, your occupation, your eating habits your sleeping habits, your pet peeves, your star sign, everything.

John chuckled.

What? You think there's something about you that I don't know?

John simply grinned, got up and left. A moment later he returned with a record sleeve in hand.
"Did you know that I collect swing records? Or that I have a working record player?"

Sherlock watched in stunned confusion as John gently placed the record on the player and began to play it. His eyes lit up as John began to move around the room to the music snapping his fingers.
"You are a keen ballet dancer are you not Mr. Holmes?" he asked offering Sherlock his hand

"Yes…"

"Well, let's see how you dance when you have to…" John grabbed his hand, pulled him to his feet and into his arms "… swing it!"

To Sherlock's eternal delight, John proceeded to whirl him around the room in a way only a real dance lover could, with passion, energy and finesse all in one, every movement precise yet flowing.

"And… Lift!" John declared. Taking a firm hold around Sherlock's waist he dipped and lifted him so his legs went into the air and his head pointed down to the floor. With the natural reflexes of a ballet dancer, Sherlock pointed his toes as he would in a ballet lift.

John looked down into his eyes, grinning. Sherlock looked up in wonder at this small little man, who held him so securely, who moved so elegantly. The man he thought he knew.

Gently, slowly, as the music faded away, John lowered Sherlock to the floor. Had he the presence of mind to do Sherlock would have leant forward as John placed his feet down so he ended up standing but such was his surprise that he just ended up lying on the floor, breathless.

"So, Mr. know it all. Did you see that coming?"

"John. That was… incredible"

"Huh. This is a turn up for the books. It's usually me saying that"
