The sound of a loud guitar could be heard coming from Sara's room in that rainy afternoon, breaking the silence in the house. A silence that remains since long time.
The chords started to get louder and louder with each passing minute, distorting the sound.
Tegan was in the other room trying to concentrate, but it was difficult, because the horrible noise.
She left her pen on the table and walked into Sara's room, where was the noise coming.
"Sara!" she shouted "What are you doing? This isn't music, this is noise! I know you're practicing, but can you do this later, please? Right now I'm trying to write some stuff."
Sara stopped the guitar. She was sitting on her bed, with a very sad look. She didn't even looked at Tegan's face, she was looking down.
"Sara… Are you okay?" Tegan asked.
Sara didn't answer. Just continued looking to the floor.
Tegan approached, sitting next to Sara.
"Hey… What's going on?" Tegan asked, putting her hand on Sara's shoulder.
"I… I can't tell you…" Sara was a little hoarse, but still looking down.
"You can tell me everything" Tegan said with calm on her voice.
And then there was silence. A terrible silence, capable of left the two sisters breathless.
Tegan noticed some tears passing by Sara's cheeks, and started to worry.
"Sara, tell me what's happening" She said, grabbing one of Sara's hands.
"Tee…" For the first time, Sara looked at Tegan.
"What?" Tegan asked with a smile. A smile that Sara knew well.
"Tee… I love you" Sara whispered.
"Oh, please Sara, I love you too, that's not new."
"No Tee… You don't understand. I love you in another way. You're more than a sister to me. Every time I look at you I feel completely dismantled. 'Cause I can't touch you, I can't kiss you, I can't feel you. You're more than perfect to me, Tee. You're my everything, you're my world, and you're my life. If you don't want to talk to me again, i understand. Just don't hate me, i can't lose you. And i will pretend this never happened."
Tears started to appear from Sara's eyes, and she couldn't look at Tegan again.
Tegan was shocked, and she couldn't say a word. She was still holding Sara's hand.
There was silence again, a bitter silence. The only thing that could be heard was Sara crying and Tegan's heavy breath.
"I've been holding this in my heart too long too" Tegan said, and with an impulse, she reached Sara's lips with hers.
Sara stopped crying, but she was confused. She never thought that Tegan's feelings were the same for her.
The kiss started slowly, both enjoying each other lips. Sara grabbed Tegan's neck with love, and Tegan was holding Sara's hips. The mouths fit in perfectly, seemed that they were made for each other.
Both lay down on the bed, still kissing. They were a long time like this.
When they stopped kissing, Sara embraced Tegan.
"Don't ever let me go, Tee" She said, touching her nose on Tegan's neck, feeling her smell. A smell that she liked so much. Sara never felt so safe on her whole life. She just wanted to be in that bed and in Tegan's arms forever.
"I will never leave you, my Sasa" Tegan said, stroking Sara's hair.
Sara smiled.
"I love you, Tee"
"I love you, Sasa"
And they fell asleep in each other's arms.
