Prologue
A beautiful young woman sat on a swing in a deserted park. The dusk night air engulfed her body as she sat there, consumed by her thoughts. No movement was seen other than her hair blowing gently in the wind and the trees swaying slightly. It was a silent night. No cars could be heard and no footsteps sounded on the ground. The girls eyes were shut tight and her arms encircled her body as she sat hugging herself. A tear rolled lightly down here cheek.
No one knew where she was and nobody cared. Her family hated her and her friends abandoned her long ago. She could be dead and everyone would just move on. No one loved her. She was completely alone in the world.
The chilly summer air rolled over her body making her muscles spasm. She wore very little. A pair of destroyed jean shorts that were too short and a black wife beater hung loosely on her skinny frame. She had the body type of a young adult but she emaciated. Her skin was freckled but noticeably bruised and cut.
The girl looked down at the knife sitting in her hands. Her tears poured harder but still she made no noise. After a few seconds of staring she closed her eyes again.
Long ago this girl had been the smartest of her age. At her private school she had received top marks and was the leader of her class. Everyone had looked up to her. But, things changed. A downward spiral of drugs, sex, lies and slander had led this girl astray. A boy had corrupted, abused and left her all within the last 2 months of her life. A summer crush had gone horribly wrong for her. She was left with nothing but the consequences of her wild days and steamy summer nights.
She needed to get away. Move towns, states, hell even countries! She needed to leave the memory of the boy behind and open a new book in her life. She needed to disappear and never look back.
