Merry Christmas Everybody! This is a tiny one-shot I thought about when I heard Elvis crooning on the radio. To be honest, I completely changed the view of the song, but the words blue and Christmas stuck in my brain so here you go! Thank you so much for reading!

Blue Christmas
He'd known about the weird blue food fetish when he married Sally. He just didn't realize how extensive it really was until he saw the table full of Christmas food.
"Honey, where exactly is your eyebrow trying to go?" Sally asked.
He looked again at the food selection; mashed potatoes, blue. The marshmallows on top of the sweet potatoes, blue. The macaroni and cheese was a green color that was an attempt at blue. The eggnog was blue; cheesecake, even more blue. The turkey was the normal shade of golden brown, but he suspected that it was only because Sally had no way to turn that blue too.
Percy entered the room carrying a dish of broccoli casserole and laughed at the look on Paul's face, he whispered a comment to his mother and she laughed too. Paul looked at them with a mock scowl.
"What is it with the blue food? Why do you do that?" He asked. He knew they had done it even before he was in the picture but he was still curious.
"My first husband told me that having blue eggs was impossible, I didn't believe him and went out of my way to prove him wrong." She gestured at the table, "I was right, as always. Anything is possible if you are willing to work for it."
She grinned at him and he found himself smiling back. Her smile was infectious, and when it all came down to it, it wasn't the color of the food that mattered. It was the fact that he had a happy healthy family that was here to celebrate the holidays with him.
That was all that really mattered.
