Snow in Germany is (c) God.

Nurse Angie Thompson stared out the window, and sighed.

The falling snow was beautiful, it reminded her of her childhood in Germany.

Six-year-old Angie Blackwell woke up and looked out of her bedroom window. She gasped in delight; Snow was falling heavily and it lay thick on the ground. It was eight in the morning, but her two older brothers were already outside, shovelling snow. Angie flung the window open and called out to them.

"Hey, Michael, Dieter!"

"Morning, Ange!"

Angie ran downstairs in her pyjamas. Her parents were waiting for her; they knew how much she loved the snow.

"Mum, Dad! It's snowing! It's snowing!" Angie headed straight for the door, but was caught by her mother.

"No, Angie."

"But-" Angie protested.

"It's very cold. You're not going outside, especially in your pyjamas." Said Angie's mother sternly.

Angie was about to burst into tears. "But, Michael and Dieter..."

Angie's father laughed. "Okay Angie, you can go outside," Angie smiled.

"Ken!" interrupted Angie's mother.

"Relax, Monika! Angie can go outside, when she's wrapped up warmly and eaten breakfast!"

"Angie, I-"

Derek Stiles came into his and Angie's office, clutching a large bundle of paperwork to his chest. He was surprised to see his nurse staring out of the window without a care in the world.

"-finished the paperwork?" Derek walked over to the window, where Angie was sitting.

"Hey, Angie..."

Suddenly, Angie turned around to look at him. "The snow is beautiful, isn't it, Doctor?" she mused.

"Uh, yeah..." Derek was not sure what to say.

"When I was a kid in Germany we moved a lot," said Angie.

"...Oh?"

"When we were in Bayern, sorry, Bavaria, they used to have a dance in winter when it snowed like this. Every girl had a boy by the end of it... well except me. Nobody ever wanted the short, half-American one it seems... and it'll always seem to be that way..." she sighed.

"It won't," said Derek.

"How?"

Derek didn't reply. Instead, he leaned over and planted a kiss on his nurse's forehead. Angie reeled back, stunned and blushing.

"Because I love you, Angie."

Angie turned scarlet. "Y-you mean it?"

"Of course, Angie. Any fool could see that!"

Angie was still quite shocked.

"I... love you too, Dr. Stiles... I have for a while now..."

"Really?"

Angie nodded, she looked like she was about to cry.

"You have just made me the happiest man alive." Said Derek.
