The Ninth Warrior
Prologue
Many years ago, there were eight warriors called the Canine Warriors. They were the traditional protectors of the Satori House, whose last remaining member was the priestess of the Gale Shrine, Princess Kirei. Their former master was her husband Azaki, the high priest of the Gale Shrine. The eight warriors' names were Rei; who believed in honor, Shin; who believed in faith, Chi; who knows that knowledge is useless without deep reflection, Ko; who believed that true wisdom is that passed on from one's parents and grandparents, Tei; who thinks that brotherly affection breeds understanding, Gi; who thinks that to remain firm in one's duties in each and every aspect of life, Jin; who stands for justice, and Chu; who believes in loyalty. Azaki was incredibly devoted to the puppies and pampered them with his affection. This caused them to develop spoil attitudes. As the warriors grew up, they eventually went their separate ways, vowing to return when called for. But as the years gone by, Azaki was killed by demons while weakened by his illness and the canine warriors didn't return when Princess Kirei called them. She soon was forced to step down from her position as a priest and give it to another priest and priestess, King Kuroki and Queen Reiko. King Kuroki and Queen Reiko had twins (girl and boy); Yui and Koichi soon after Princess Kirei stepped down. The twins then found an ancient scroll that tells a story about the ninth canine warrior...
