"Give me the strength to keep those I love safe today." Amber poured a glass of Aqua Magus. She sipped squeezing her hand around the glass as she took another. She looked over the maps Anders drew of the caves they discovered. Varric would be interested in these. Red Lyrium. Crashed templar boats on the coast. This place was close enough to be the source of the Templars supply in Kirkwall.
It was easy for Amber to see the beauty in the smoke colored mist after spending a lazy morning in her lover's arms. Rare was the day that the light of the sun broke through the clouds.
"I have had enough of his fawning over you."
Amber was taken aback. She could feel an unnatural coolness to the drafty room as the spirit took over Anders body.
"You will never completely possess him, you really should stop."
He pinned her against the wall without touching her. "You honestly believe I'm not in control of this." Vengeance held his arms out showing off his body as he sauntered towards her. "I allow his dalliances with you because it pleases me." His voice grew louder with each word. "I allow this relationship because you have the contacts and the means to get our agenda done, Viscountess." His laugher shook her spine.
Amber struggled to calm every instinct in her to blast him with a spell. "You are only who Anders made you to be. Remember that."
"You won't kill us because he tells you he loves you while sharing your bed." His ran his finger down her cheek and across her lips. "You are a weak pawn."
"I am Malcolm Hawkes' daughter. I killed an Arishok. I killed Corypheus. You are no challenge for me." The words Avaline spoke came to mind. You will not have him. Amber never understood the meaning of the words until this moment.
"You will die, Hawke"
"Anders will never kill me and you know this. That's why you . . ." She froze with the realization of was happening. You want me to kill you. Well, Anders.
