"I shouldn't love you, but I want to
I just can't turn away
I shouldn't see you
But I can't move
I can't look away"
Jesse McCartney, Just so You Know
He looks down at her. Her long brown hair is swept out of her face neatly, the Starfleet way. Secretly inside he wishes her hair were down. The one time he'd seen it down, she looks more delicate and beautiful; she looked almost like a porcelain doll.
This wasn't the woman he remembered though. The one he remembered from that moment. This woman was angry, angsty, and...Sad. She had a dark side, but he loved every part of who she was.
Of course he knew her name. Chekov the Whiz Kid babbled about her while they were waiting to get out of space dock. She hadn't been onboard at the time, but the kid kept babbling about his big sister Lilliana, or Lilly. He said she was pretty, and looked as pretty as his mamma at times.
That boy wasn't exaggerating.
The first time he met Ms. Chekov, he could see where Chekov was right. Her brown hair was pulled into a tight ponytail and her brown eyes were hard.
The second time he hadn't talked to her, but watched her from afar. The one moment he'd seen her walking down the halls, her hair down past her shoulders, inching around her elbows. She was beautiful in an irritating way.
How did she feel?
He couldn't know. He shouldn't even love her. She was his subordinate, only an officer in charge of the shuttle upkeep and a pilot. So he looks down at her, gentle hazel eyes meeting fiery brown eyes.
He says simply, "Commander." Her delicate, musical voice says back, "Captain."
He walks onto the shuttle not looking back.
Yes there was no doubt that Christopher Pike was in love with Lilly Chekov.
And he would never know if she felt the same way.

A/N: So that was fun to write. I got a request to see more of this couple so I'm writing more. Personally I love Pike. He's just awesome.
Bruce Greenwood's a pretty epic actor too.
SO.....R/R and Hope to hear your reviews!
Ohh by the way, which song should I do next?
