A/N: Written for the Sailor Moon Flash Bingo at the SMFC (link in profile), #126 - Prompt: a place to belong.
a place to belong
It didn't matter that her own flesh and blood had kicked her out of the house and abandoned her. She had Michiru, and her senshi powers, and that was all she needed.
It didn't matter that she was lying to herself, running faster than the wind on the tracks and gunning the accelerator so she was breaking laws with her speed. That she was trying to go faster and faster, trying to leave something behind.
It didn't matter that she felt lonely sometimes, like it was her and Michiru, Uranus and Neptune, against the world. It didn't matter that she wished they'd just find what they needed to look for, so everything could be over and done with and they could leave that lonely world behind.
Because she'd be happier, she thought, in a world where she didn't have relatives of flesh and blood so they couldn't abandon her. She'd be happier in a world that wasn't jam packed with humans turning away from her, and all that space she had to rush forward in. She'd be happier in a world where happily ever after tales were real, where there was no need to lose things, to try and run away from things.
But those sorts of places only existed in delusions. Not even at the ends of the universes was there a world without lost love.
