Gabriel smiled at Willem, Ulf, and Gregory as they tried to cheer Vivian up. He knew she didn't want to see him, that she foolishly fell in love with a human and expected him to accept her fully with open arms. He shook his head, turning from the house. Nothing was going to help her unless she helped herself first. If only she knew, if only she knew he had gone through the same thing. Humans would never accept them, they feared and hated us.
Gabriel shook, the force of the memories always left him weak, and he wished he could forget about them. But then he would forget her. Gabriel put a hand on a tree to help support himself. He could never allow himself to forget her. The way she danced, how her body fit against his.
Gabriel remembered every detail crystal clear. He was a younger wolf then, he was going to a local bar. He normal didn't drink alone, always had some others from the pack following him, but not tonight. He had just sat down at a table, enjoying a beer and watching a sport show on the television, when he heard a girl.
He looked over and saw her struggling against some men; they held her arms and were smiling. Gabriel got up and walked over to them, tapping the one holding her on his shoulder. He turned and Gabriel glared, he didn't have to do anything else. The human felt the menace in the glare and knew that if he didn't leave he would be ripped to shreds. No one messed with Gabriel.
The guy backed off, his friends each, in turn received a death glare from Gabriel and followed their friend away.
"Sorry about them." Gabriel said turning to the girl. He held out his hand. "I'm Gabriel." He added a smile; she looked him up and down before carefully taking his hand, a small smile on her face.
"That's the first time anyone ever protected me before." Her smile grew and Gabriel noticed how beautiful she was. "I'm Jessica." She said, still smiling.
"Come; let me buy you a drink." Gabriel said, leading her back to his table. When they were sitting he asked, "So do you always get in that much trouble?" She shook her head no; a small giggle escaped her lips.
"They saw me dancing, and well things got out of hand, you know." She looked down at the table as if ashamed by her actions. Gabriel reached over and caressed her arm, she looked up and smiled, tears in her eyes.
"I have never been so frightened in my life; I thought they were going to rape and kill me." She covered her eyes with her hand, her sobs became more violent. Gabriel moved over to sit next to her. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and made soothing sounds in her ear. He moved her hand from her eyes and wiped the tears from her face.
"It's alright now." He said protectively "I will not let anyone hurt you." She leaned her head on his shoulder, burying her face in his neck, small sobs still escaping her lips as he caressed her neck.
"Thank you." She whispered.
Well that's the end of chapter one. I am probably going to write more, but I really want your opinion on this story, so please review…thanks ^_^
