A/N: I don't own Sherlock and this is based on a prompt. "The day after he comes back Sherlock deduces everything John did before leaving the flat."

XxX

Finding John had actually left 221B comes as a bit of a shock, even bigger than the almost-fiancé had been. There is one bright side, a very slim one. Now he can play deductions while he waits for John to call and forgive him. It should be quite amusing to see what he'd done before leaving.

He takes a look around and decides to inspect his composing area first. The violin lay untouched in the case. Good. John had at least cared to keep it safe. In fact, most things were kept where Sherlock had left them. Ah, sentiment. His coffee mug even sat on the table where he'd used it to hold down sheet music.

The kitchen experiments had all been cleaned up and there was nothing in the fridge as well. That was for the best. Some had been time sensitive and would have spoiled or exploded had they not been taken care of. The teapot had been used often; which was rather obvious. John loves tea. He practically bathes in the stuff. He had also cleaned all the dishes except Sherlock's cup in the other room.

All the files were gone. The flat has never looked cleaner than it did now. John had bleached most surfaces just before going too it seems. A faint whiff of the stuff reached his nose every few minutes. He passes the bedroom and finds it to be virtually untouched. He'd already deduced john to have slept upstairs before leaving so it wasn't news. He decides not to go in yet. There was undoubtedly a huge mess seeing as John only went in there to release his anger. Even after leaving… interesting. He'd have to ask John about that later.

Now on to the desk. That was the most "John" area of the flat aside from his chair. The chair was used often, just like the teapot and mostly for staring at Sherlock's empty one. A pang of guilt suddenly pierces Sherlock's heart. He reminds himself the fall had been necessary and that he would explain that to John soon enough. The desk, yes. Used sparingly. A few attempts at writing in the blog, unsuccessful.

Sherlock moves to turn away for the couch area when he notices the top right drawer. He'd seen it of course, but now he sees the heavy oil residue there. Oil enough to denote daily use. Why would he use the desk sparingly but the drawer daily, if not multiple times a day? Oh…oh. That is the gun drawer. John went for the gun every day?

Suddenly this game has lost all appeal. Time to stop playing.
