A/N: I've suddenly taken a huge interest in Megastian! I always liked them before but now I truly appreciate them to the fullest. And to celebrate it, here's a little One-Shot!
Disclaimer: I own nothing.

The stupid little object in her hand was just too frustrating. Why did the maker have to make it in so many different colours? She twisted it and twisted it, but to avail. The damn colours were all over the place!
"Megan?"
Looking to find the source of the caller, she spotted Sebastian coming towards her.
"Hey," she replied.
"Hi," he said, moving to sit beside.
He watched her as she fumbled with the coloured cube in her hands. "A magic cube? And here I was thinking that you would be doing something more practical, like running."
Not looking at him, she replied, "I was running. But then I got tired and decided occupy my time with this instead."
"Where did you get it anyway?"
"Dollarama." Seeing the look of confusion on his face, she understood what he was really trying to ask. "Oh, I always carry it around with me. It's small enough and fits onto my keychain. I've had it for a long time now."
A silence followed whilst Megan still struggled with the cube.
"You look like you could use a little help," Sebastian offered.
"I'm fine."
"Have you ever finished it before?"
". . . No . . ."
"I thought it came with instructions."
"It did. I just refuse to use them."
"Ok . . ."
More silence and fumbling.
"Ugh!" she groaned in frustration.
"You really look like you could use help."
"Really, I'm fine."
He ignored her and put his hands on top of her.
Megan shivered inwardly at his warm touch but tried to concentrate on what he was doing. He was twisting the cube within her hands. She looked up to his face and saw his eyebrows scrunched together in a determined sort of way.
A minute went past and it seemed as though he was making some progress.
Five minutes later, a little more progress happened.
Around seven minutes later, it seemed as though he did something wrong because he suddenly backtracked.
three minutes later, everything seemed to be back on track.
15 minutes later, the whole cube was done. Nine sides, each with nine little squares of the same colour, were now visible.
"Wow," Megan breathed.
"It's nothing. After all, practise makes perfect," Sebastian said modestly.
"Are you kidding me? I've been working on it for months now and I didn't get it right even once while you just did it in a matter of minutes. I'm impressed, Sebastian."
Guys didn't blush but Sebastian couldn't help but feel his face heat up a little at her compliment. Not wanting her to notice, he looked down . . .
He was still holding onto her hands.
Megan seemed to have noticed the same thing because she suddenly blushed too.
He let go of her hands quickly, feeling his face heat up again.
"Umm . . . I should be getting on with my run now," He said quickly.
"I should be getting back now. Adena might get worried," She said equally quickly.
"So . . . bye."
"Yeah . . . bye."
They had just walked about 20 metres apart in opposite directions when Sebastian turned around. "Hey Megan!" he called.
She turned to look at him. "What?"
"I only got good because I read the instructions once." And with that, he turned around started running.
Megan made it back to her dorm in what seemed to be no time at all to her. Reaching into one of her drawers, she pulled out the instructions.
If Sebastian had read once, then so would she. And maybe, later she'd get a chance to show him how good she had actually gotten at it.

A/N: inspiration is from the little magic cube I owned myself but then had to give to a crying niece to calm her down and she took it away. I'm going to have to buy a new one . . .
