A/N First piece of Stalia fiction! I was kind of annoyed with the lack of Stalia over the past week(s). So yeah. R&R! 3 :*

"Malia Hale , 3 " The list read. The words pierced his heart with an unknown haunting feeling. His heart thudding loudly.

'Why? Why are you surprised' logic questioned his heart. He knew it was coming, it had too. All of the supernatural creatures of the town were on it. Why would she be spared? He had been in denial since he found out about the dead pool hoping that somehow, Malia's name would be left off. She was practically new here! No one knew a lot about her. He knew better though.

Then he realized the fact that her last name on the dead pool wasn't 'Tate'. The guilt of hiding, what was probably the biggest secret of Malia's life doubled. There was so much she still didn't know. So much that he wanted to teach her, how many more moments he wanted to spend with her. Every time she did something reckless or stupid, not caring about her life it angered him.

Few nights ago, while she was lying in his arms after a lot of argument over who was going to be the 'big' spoon. He had raised up the question.

"Malia."

"Hmm.?"

"Why do you do stupid things? Not caring about your life. Why do you think you can fight everything? " he asked her, slightly angry over her stunt in Mexico.

"Because I can take care of myself" she answered without hesitation or much thought.

"Well you scare people around you! Ok?" He told her sincerely.

"Why?" She questioned him, confused. Not understanding the human emotion behind it.

"Because people who care about you, worry about you." He answered her.

"No one needs me" she responded, her voice void of emotions.

" I do." He said. Their eyes met, Malia's eyes asking the confirmation of what he had said.

And their lips met, intertwining together like the last piece of a long mysterious puzzle.

Suddenly. He didn't care that she was on the list. He would make sure that she would be safe. He'd do anything and everything in his power to make sure she wasn't harmed. She was precious. Atleast to him.
