Hi Guys! I've been reading fanfiction for 7 or 8 months now, so I decided to create an account and write my own story!

I might not update that often, but I promise, I wont abandon the story unless I really need to, and I'll make sure you know!

This is my first story, so please give me tips and criticism on writing as I continue this story. Alright, no more talking. On to the story!

Chapter 1: The Meeting

Rachel's POV

"Wake up! Class starts soon!" Rachel Elizabeth Dare opened her eyes. Her roommate Katherine stood over her, looking bright and cheery. She groaned and rolled over, looking out the window. Had it been that dark when she'd woken up yesterday? And Rachel had been twenty minutes early to her first class. She glared at Katherine. "Liar." Katherine smiled sheepishly. "I couldn't sleep. Besides, the students from Tescesal Academy are coming today. And I was wondering" She lowered her voice, even though they were alone in their dorm. "Wong Lee, remember him? The Chinese fortuneteller. He told me that we would meet two Greek demigods during the school year. We haven't seen any yet, so there's a good chance that they go to Tiscesal." That woke her up. Rachel had been wondering when she would meet the half-bloods that Wong Lee told her about. She sat up. "Are you sure you want to help me? I mean, there will probably be monsters involved, and you won't be able to help me kill them because you're Egyptian. Besides, you're the leader of the 72nd Nome. You're going to get 'pulled out of school' soon to help with repairing the headquarters." Her roommate grimaced. "That's true. But I still have a few more weeks, so I intend to help you anyway I can." Rachel smiled. "Thanks."

As they ate breakfast, Headmistress Cara stepped up on a makeshift podium and clapped her hands twice. Ow. Rachel winced. The two claps sounded as loud as the thunderstorms that happened when Zeus was angry. "Listen up! As you know, we participated in an exchange program designed to help students from one academy meet students from another by one of them stay at the other school for a month. The students of Tescesal Academy for the Gifted will be coming in 5 minutes. Lets give them a warm welcome!" Everybody cheered. The headmistress smiled, and then added some news that agitated everyone. "The boys will be staying in the extra dorms, but there aren't enough for all of them. Some of you will have to share." She raised her hand to silence the muttering that had broken out. "Quiet! We must make a good impression on them. They should be arriving any second know...ah, here they come." As the students of Tiscesal Academy walked in, everyone turned to stare.
