The Return of Spock
War continues. The Enterprise is in orbit of Coruscant. Data scouts for General Grievous from the Enterprise sensor logs, on Utapau. Meanwhile, Anakin wakes from a premonition in the Force. He sits up in his bed, goes to the room and grabs the communicator that Picard had given him. "Anakin to the Enterprise. I need a doctor." Picard answered, "Are you alright, General?" "I just need a doctor." Padme walks out into the living room. Beverley Crusher materializes and walks toward Anakin. "What are the symptoms?" she asked. "It's a nightmare, but Jedi don't have nightmare." "Your pulse is racing. Take deep breaths." "What's wrong with him?" Padme asks. "I don't know. There's no sign of a headache of any kind, but I do sense fear from my medical tricorder. I'm gonna take you to the Enterprise for more tests." Anakin, Padme, and the doctor beamed to the Enterprise. Captain Picard joined in Sickbay, "General Skywalker." "Captain." "Prognosis, Doctor?" "His brain scans suggests that he was having a nightmare. I can give him a sedative." "I do not believe that is wise." A voice heard behind Picard, "Ambassador Spock!" The Vulcan had appeared (he had returned some days earlier, secretly) "I believe that he is suffering from nightmares, similar to the ones he had about his mother." "How would you know that, sir?" "I know it by the expression of his face." Spock looked at Anakin and then at Padme. "Madame Senator, you're glowing!" "I am expecting." Picard smiled, "I was not aware that you were having children." "We've tried to keep it secret, Captain. So far, the only persons who know now is this group of people. What I want to know is why I'm having these nightmares?" "Can you describe them for us?" "I see a girl crying and that's it." "Do you know who it is?" Captain Picard asked. "Yes." Anakin did not elaborate. Spock walked toward him. He put his hand on Anakin's left cheek. "My mind to your mind." Spock then jerked back, his heart pounding. "The nightmare is of you, Madame Senator. It is a dream of despair and death." "Death?" "You died in childbirth," Anakin said. "And the baby?" "I don't know." "Ambassador?" "I see nothing further to confirm or deny the survival of your children." "Children?" "She not only has one baby, Doctor, but two. Hence the dreams occurring twice." "What do we do?" Spock walked toward the door, "I would suggest not keeping this a secret. Also, due to my experience and conversation with the Chancellor, as you may remember, Senator, I believe that the Chancellor still has power over you, Mr. Skywalker, therefore, the logical thing would be to dispose of him, now!"
Anakin returned to Coruscant and told the Council what's happened. The Council acted quickly to dispose of the chancellor and his Sith allies. Anakin was then stripped of his title and banned from Coruscant. The Republic is at peace.
