It had been a long trip for Harry. The auror mission had started just over a month ago and all Harry could think about was seeing his fiance again. Their wedding had been scheduled for the week before he got back, yet Ron had still insisted on going back to the burrow before him, as though they'd needed the warning.
It was an hour before an otter patronus ran into the room. "Hurry up and get here now. Ronald forgot to tell you how long to wait didn't he?" Hermione's disparaging voice came from the otter, making Harry jump out of the shower he'd decided to take while waiting, to wash all the grime of the Sahara off.
"I guess I better get dressed then." Harry laughed, imagining Hermione's face as she realised he had no idea why he was made to wait anyway, or what for.
"And please tell me he remembered to tell you to put a suit on." The patronus was back, more exasperated than Harry had heard it since their days at Hogwarts.
Harry frowned at that, the only suit he had was for his wedding. Why would he need that when they hadn't had the chance to reschedule the wedding yet? He thought, but still put it on willingly, trying as ever to control his hair even the slightest bit. before disapparating.
Mrs Weasley was stood outside the Burrow, waiting for him when Harry got there. "Hurry up, hurry up. You need to get in there now. No, wait a moment, here." She fussed, dusting him down although he didn't need it, before putting a rouge-tinted lily into his button-hole.
"Okay, okay, I'm going, but why is everyone acting like it's my wedding day? I thought we hadn't had time to rearrange it." Harry asked confused allowing himself to be herded through the Burrow and into the garden, where he just stared at the Marcquee stood there. It was even bigger than the one for Bill and Fleur's wedding had been. "Okay, I guess it has been rearranged."
"Get in here Harry, You're going to be run over by Ginny if you don't hurry up." Ron called laughing, obviously having known that this had been planned.
"But how?" Harry mumbled, walking with his best friend and Best Man to stand and wait at the front.
Ron grinned. "We knew something might happen to delay the wedding, so everyone invited, and involved had applied for quick release work schedules for the months before and after the wedding. Even Dean kept a free schedule to do your wedding service whenever it happened."
Harry just laughed, turning to watch the entrance until Hermione and Luna came down the aisle ahead of Ginny and Mr Weasley.
Finally only a few years after he'd killed Voldemort it was Harry's turn for happiness as he married the girl he loved surrounded by friends, family, fans (unfortunately) and unavoidably the daily prophet.
