There she was. Lucy walked among the crowd of people that flowed out of classrooms into the hallways. Yesterday she had given me her beanie to borrow because I had a really bad bed head and she was kind enough to lend it to me. As the crowd kept flowing I saw her blonde head bob up and down in the sea of people while I stood by her locker. As she came closer she saw me and I helped her emerge from the tight flow of people.

"Yo Luce," I said as a cheeky grin crept onto my face.

She smiled as she replied, "Hey Natsu, how was class?"

I contemplated whether or not to tell her that I had mostly slept through my class again or to make something up. Knowing her, she wouldn't like the first choice, and neither would she like the second.

"Well it was okay. Didn't do much y'know," I answered simply with a shrug.

I saw her start to punch in her pass code to open her locker, as it opened she turned to me and rolled her eyes. "Natsu, I know you slept in class. You should just start with that instead of lying to me."

She had a point. Although I did hate telling the truth I also hated lying to her. The thought of doing that to her made my insides turn.

"Yeah you're right, hah sorry," I said apologizing quickly.

For the next few minutes I watched her switch out her books, taking out what she needed and trading in the ones she didn't. I watched as the sun light hit her creme colored skin, the light coming from the window that was beside the end of the lockers. The sun rays shined onto her blonde hair, making the tips glow slightly. I reached into the pocket of my hoodie and gripped tighter around the beanie.

Closing her locker she looked up at me, "So, ready for chemistry?" Her hazel eyes locked onto mine, our gazes not letting go of each other, I began to feel everyone around us start to blur. I nodded my head as I began to come out of my trance.

As she smiled she turned around and started to walk down the hall. I felt my heartbeat start to quicken as I shouted, "Luce! Wait I have something for you!" I took a few steps so I was in front of her. As she turned around I pulled out the beanie and pulled it onto her head, the black color or the fabric bringing out the blondeness in her hair.

"I brought your beanie back," I said as she relaxed from being startled.

"Oh, thank you Natsu," she replied as she smiled, she turned around once more to continue her journey towards the chemistry classroom.

"Ah! Lucy wait!~" I called out once more.

As she turned around I stood in front of her once more. I leaned over grabbing the edges of her beanie, tugging it down gently so that the edges now covered her hazel gaze. I came in close, my eyes wandering her face until I closed my eyes as I brought my lips down onto hers. At that moment it felt like sparks flew around everywhere. Her strawberry lip gloss smearing onto my own lips, I knew at that instant I would always love strawberry flavored things. I pulled away slowly, making sure my presence lingered on her lips as I pulled her beanie up to reveal her star struck eyes. I grinned slightly as I pulled my hands into the pockets of my hoodie and began my way to chemistry.

Looking over my shoulder I saw she was still standing there. I yelled to her, " C'mon Heartfilia, we've got some chemistry to do."
