We were... one

Bloody bodies were everywhere, lying grotesquely on the battlefield. The battle for a new era was clearly a horrible one, and many people were killed in it.
Himura Kenshin, otherwise known as the legendary Hitokiri Battousai, was an eighteen-year-old boy destined for war. He was awfully short for his age, and had stunning violet eyes that turned gold when he was angry.
~~~
Unsheathing his sword, Battousai readied himself in an attack stance. He waited for the enemy to charge before racing towards him. Swinging his sword side-ways, he managed to strike his opponent in the side, leaving a fatal gash and sending his enemy to the ground, dead. Battousai had won the fight, but he did not leave unscathed. With a deep wound on his upper arm, Battousai walked back to the hideout.
"Himura! Did you complete the job?"
"Aa, Katsura-san."
"That's a pretty nasty cut you got there. I'll send the doctor to your room to help you clean it up. You must be ready for your battle tomorrow."
"Yes, Sir".
With that, Kenshin turned on his heel and walked silently to his room. A few minutes later there was a knock on his door, and as the shoji slid open, Cold violet eyes met with light blue ones.
"I am here on Katsura-san's orders to clean up your wounds" The nurse walked up to Kenshin, and he let her check his arm. She worked silently, her hands moving efficiently as she bandaged up his wound. After she was done, she got up, and walked to the door.
"Ma..Matte!" The nurse turned around looking at Kenshin curiously.
"What is your name?"
"Kamiya, Kamiya Kaoru." She smiled at him briefly before exiting the room.
Kenshin closed his eyes and leaned against the wall. Raking his hand through his hair, he thought of the girl who had just bandaged up his wound. He couldn't get mind off her pretty face. Her eyes had been a startling shade of blue, with such an innocent look in them, that it made him feel... stained and guilty.
Kenshin sighed and stood up, preparing himself for bed. The next day would be a tiring one, and he needed all the sleep he could get. He changed into his yukata, and resumed his previous position against the wall, with his katana propped up against his knee. All this while, he was thinking about Kaoru.
As he succumbed himself to sleep, Kenshin wondered 'What is this strange feeling I cant get rid of?'
Author's Notes:
Oh god!! That was so extremely cliché. I'm running out of imagination.
Who thinks that that was the shittiest fic on earth?
I'm trying to build the story up slowly and it will eventually turn out to be a K+K fic.
Hopefully I will get enough reviews to motivate me to continue.
I'm new to this writing thing, so please be kind :)
