Disclaimer~ oh, I wish I owned Boromir and the Ring…but I don't. Well
actually I'm saving my money to get "The One Ring" from this
catalogue…*cough* not like you care or anything.
A/N~ don't get me wrong here, I think Boromir is awesome. And I know its not his fault he was corrupted by the Ring. These are his thoughts when he's kind of… possessed (I couldn't think of another word here) by the evil of the Ring.

The Will To Dominate
It hangs there, on its slim chain encircling the Halflings neck. It calls to me from its useless position. We are going to destroy it, our one and only hope. We march forth, each step drawing us closer to the doom of Middle-Earth. Sauron will take it, take back what is his. It is his, but could it not be mine? Each day my people shed more blood. They are dying to protect us all. I wish for the strength to stop this bloodbath. That strength is nearby, held away from me by the Fellowship.
I need it. All my thought is bent on it. It holds the one chance to rid Middle-Earth of evil. We can use it against Sauron. Why will they not give Gondor the weapon of the enemy? The Fellowship will throw all being into the fires of Mount Doom with it.
Its holds all, hope, power, wealth, and destruction. With one slip onto my finger I could have it all. The whole of Middle-Earth would be mine to command and control. With a hand motion I could kill all. With another, I could save all. I would be stronger then the foundations of the earth. I could make all love me, yet they would despair. A second darkness will cover the free lands if they do not give me it.
I am a strong man, but I could be stronger. Stronger in body, mind, and heart. To gain this, I must have it. The Halfling and the others do not trust me. I can see it in their eyes, they look on me with warning. Yet do they not yearn for it as well? Does it not call to them by name, does it not glow red in front of their eyes? I know if it did, they would not despise me so. Maybe it does not call to them because it wants me. Wants me to use it, protect it, and cherish it. Maybe I am the only one it needs…
It is precious to me. In the one time I touched it, I knew I was destined to it. Or it was destined to me. My fate will be bound to it, that much is clear. My entire being is already drawn to it, like two magnets, except more powerful. More controlling. More desperate.
It dominates my life, it is the one thing I see. I believe in it. Without it, all will be lost. Without it, I will perish. I must have it. I must get it. It seems to dangle in front of me, tempting me to do the inevitable. I will take the Ring.
