A/N: I'm going to do an experiment. I'm going to listen to Katy Perry's California Gurls over and over while I type out this story (I write most of my stuff in a notebook before I post it) and see what stuff changes - whether it's for the better or worse. Should be fun, at least. Maybe it'll be funnier since California Gurls is such a fun and poppy song. This takes place somewhere between Faith, Hope, and Trick and Lover's Walk.
Xander's Monday Adventure
"Gah!"
Xander looked at his alarm clock. Three thirty-six.
He groaned. He still had three hours of sleep left before he had to suffer his daily torment.
Sunnydale High School.
Monday morning was a complete and total letdown, especially after the excellent weekend he had. Friday evening, the Scoobies were chilling at the Bronze. Well, not chilling - more like crazyinsanedancing at the Bronze. Whatever you called it, it was fun.
Saturday they all went to the pier and did the roller coasters over and over. To their surprise, the Scoobs discovered that none of them had weak stomachs. Later, Cordelia hosted a pool party at her mansion, to which they were all invited. Despite Harmony and Ora shunning her, Cordy was still the most popular at school. Invites were hard to come by, so naturally everyone invited showed up.
On Sunday they went on a mini-road trip to L.A. that they were scheduled to continue the following weekend. They met up with a few of Buffy's friends, all of whom adored Cordelia and one of whom invited them to a party that was the cause of their future return visit.
It was kind of awkward, though, because Buffy's ex, Pike (who apparently knew The Secret as well) showed up right when they were dishing on Angel and Cordelia and Willow were gushing over his "insane hunkyness." Their words.
But now Xander's wonderful weekend whirl of friends and fun was over.
He'd wasted a half hour. Now he really needed to sleep.
But he couldn't. Eventually he just got up and got dressed. There were a lot of other things he could do before school.
Gangster things.
He grabbed two rolls of toilet paper from the basement and six eggs from the fridge. Xander then proceeded to ride his bike to his arch nemesis's house.
Larry.
After tossing the eggs at Larry's house and winding toilet paper around the trees in his front yard, Xander went back home, sneaking in through the back door so that his mom didn't see him.
He walked into the kitchen, pretending to yawn.
"Morning, Mom."
