A/N: Yeah, I know that Ennis isn't this eloquent. Heh.

I don't own these characters. All I have are my words.

His eyes of frozen indigo seas
sparkling with wild abandon
capture the sun and hold it captive.
Much like myself; I am lost in him.

(But the fear of drowning leaves me on the shore)

We're so close to the stars.
I want to reach up and catch one,
just to see is beauty surpassed
by he who is laying next to me.

(Little solar flares in the fold of blackness)

His skin, clean and bright and careless
in the light of the moon
puts the angels to shame.
He's all that I can see right now.

(I can't open my eyes far enough)

And when we are together, just him, me,
and the boundless kingdom of the mountains
It's easy to convince myself
that forever could be as good as this.

(Let me pretend, let me lie to myself for now)

But the others, they envy us with their
radon daggers and hotbeds of jealousy
burning brighter, brighter now.
But we are not easily fazed by the lights.

(He burns hotter than they could ever know)

But when I look away from the harsh lights
and look to Jack, my Jack,
I do not have to live a lie.
He always has the best of me.

(He's all that I am and all that I will be)
