A/N: Supernatural is not mine. *sigh*

Dean kept his promise, and at first it was hard but then Sam returned from hell, and now he was living the apple pie life with his brother. They were all one big happy family. It was perfect, like one of those Hallmark movies.

"You should have seen him Lisa; he hit the homerun and turned the game around." Dean says, grinning proudly at Ben from across the dinner table.

"Yeah, I hit the ball right out the park." Ben's excitement evident.

"I'm sorry I missed it." Lisa smiles at her son, as she spoons out some green beans on her plate. "Pass this to Dean."

"It was awesome. Then I got Becky's number. She's Nick's twin sister." Ben wiggles his eyebrows.

"That's my boy." Dean laughs, as he takes the green beans from Ben.

Lisa shakes her head. "I think if you paid half as much attention to your homework as you do girls you could be making straight A's."

Dean chuckles as he puts some of green beans on his plate, then turns to Sam. "Dude, if I've got to eat them so do you." He says as he puts a large helping on Sam's plate. "Stop bitching." He tells his protesting brother.

There's a lull in the conversation as everyone focuses on their dinner.

"Sam could probably help you with studding, Ben." Dean offers'.

"Yeah, that would be great." Ben flashes Dean a smile, then one in Sam's direction.

The conversation picks up again, until Dean excuses himself at the end to go to the bathroom. Lisa stands and picks up her plate and Sam's.

"Mom?" Ben gets her attention, his expression serious.

"Yeah?"

"How much longer are we going to have to pretend Sam's back?"

Lisa looks at the empty chair Dean had been talking to through out the dinner, like he did every night. "I don't know." She answers honestly.
