Fred POV

"What is wrong with you, Moffat!" Jo screamed at me.

"What is wrong with YOU, March!" I screamed back at her. This broke my heart: I love her so much.

"Oi, leave her alone, Moffat!" Laurie interrupted.

"Go away, Lawrence!" We both screamed at him.

"I'm only trying to help you, Jo. I love you!" He looked painfully at Jo.

"You know I don't feel the same way about you, Teddy." she whispered, a lone tear falling down her cheek. I was so angry. How dare he make her feel guilty! I wanted to put my arm around her and comfort her. Lawrence grabbed her. I was about to punch him when she ran off. Lawrence went to ran after her before I had an idea.

"Laurie?"

"Yea-" I punched him right in the face. He went flying.

"That's for upsetting Jo." I spat before running after the girl I loved.

Jo POV

I was standing outside the door, watching through a hole in the door. I saw Fred punch Laurie. I gasped as I looked into Fred's eyes. They were full of emotion: anger, rage and...protection.

"That's for upsetting Jo." he spat. He ran out of the door...and straight into me. He gave me a funny look.

"How much did you hear?" he whispered.

"I heard...and saw everything."

"Everything?" I pulled his head gently to look at me. I looked into his deep blue eyes.

"Everything," I whispered. Suddenly my lips were on his. The touch of his skin on her's was electric. Suddenly he pulled away.

"Jo," she looked at him sadly. "Jo, I love you."

"I love you too, Fred."

Fred POV

"I love you too, Fred." She went to kiss me again. As much as I wanted to kiss her again I knew I had to stop this. I leant away.

"Fred," she sighed.

"Jo, you know we can't do this." She looked hurt. I held her by the shoulders.

"Jo, you know I love you. But this isn't meant to be. We're not meant to be. You're meant to be with Laurie and I'm meant to be with Sallie. But I'll always love you." I started walking away. I heard her fall to the floor, crying "Fred! Come back!" But there was nothing I could do. We're just not meant to be.
