A/N This is the first poem I have ever published anywhere. I made it at a scout camp this summer, and I think it kinda fits Legolas' sea-longing. This is not my best poem, but please, no flamers.
I may write more poems for LotR, but perhaps not. Anyway, enjoy it, and then please tell me if you like it!

Have you seen the waves are playing
Forming, breaking, always there?
Have you seen them a day with wind
When deep blue is edged with white?
The Sea is never silent
Have you seen when storms are coming
Great black clouds and whipping rains?
Have you seen when lightning hits water
Bolts of light plunging into the black?
The Sea is never silent
Have you heard the seagulls crying
As they float upon the wind?
Have you seen them high above you
Free and wild as the Sea itself?
The Sea is never silent
Have you heard the waves are talking
Whispering for you to come?
Have you heard them calling?
Have you seen them waving?
Have you felt the longing
Deep within your heart?
The Sea is never silent
