Natsuki Kuga and Shizuru Fujino finished up another one of their dates at a fancy restaurant. They walked outside. Natsuki asked, "May I walk you home?"

Shizuru smiled and answered, "I'd love to walk to our home with you."

Natsuki raised her eyebrows and asked, "Our home?"

Shizuru giggled and answered, "That was a weird way of wording myself since I'm the only one who lives there. However, you can consider it a second home for you."

Natsuki said, "Yeah right. However, I do visit you so many times that I feel like were neighbors."

Shizuru replied, "I wish I lived closer to you."

Natsuki smiled and said, "It doesn't matter. I'd probably still visit you even If you lived two hundred miles away." She blushed and said, "That probably sounded super dorky."

Shizuru replied, "Everything that you say sounds like eloquence to me."

Natsuki blushed again and asked, "Is it your goal to make me blush forever?"

Shizuru smiled and replied, "That would be a beautiful sight."

Natsuki blushed a third time and said, "It's impossible to get through a day with you without blushing."

Shizuru replied, "There's no need to be embarrassed. You look cuter than ever when you blush."

Natsuki and Shizuru didn't say anything for two minutes. After the brief silence, Shizuru wanted Natsuki to hold hands with her so she said, "My hands are cold."

Natsuki replied, "But you're wearing gloves."

Shizuru said, "Please hold my hand." Natsuki gently held onto Shizuru's hand. Natsuki's hand made Shizuru feel colder in terms of temperature, but it warmed up her heart.

A few minutes later Natsuki finished walking Shizuru home. Natsuki said, "I love you."

Shizuru replied, "I love you too."

Natsuki started walking away, but Shizuru said, "Ahem." Natsuki turned around and gave Shizuru a goodbye kiss. She walked home while covering up her fourth blush of the night.

The next morning Natsuki was sleeping in late, but her cellphone rang. She picked up the cellphone and saw that Shizuru was calling. Natsuki was usually upset when people called her in the morning, but Shizuru was an exception. She said, "Hi Shizuru."

Shizuru replied, "Greetings sweetheart. I'm afraid that I have news that isn't that positive."

Natsuki asked, "What's going on?"

Shizuru answered, "A businessman is considering shutting down the houses on my street so he can put up his new company."

Natsuki angrily said, "That hardly sounds legal."

Shizuru replied, "I'm not a lawyer so I don't have a good answer for that."

Natsuki nervously asked, "Where would you move to if that happened?"

Shizuru shrugged her shoulders and answered, "I don't have anything planned, but I know that I can find a place."

Natsuki said, "I hope that things work out."

Shizuru couldn't see Natsuki's face at the moment, but she could tell that Natsuki looked really nervous. She said, "Calm down sweetie. I'll take care of this problem."

A few minutes later Natsuki went to the kitchen and started drinking milk. Natsuki's mom said, "I can tell that you're worried about something."

Natsuki asked, "How can you tell?"

Natsuki's mom answered, "You only drink water when you're nervous. Please tell me what's going on."

Natsuki sighed and asked, "Why do you have to be so smart?"

Natsuki's mom said, "I went to college."

Natsuki said, "I'm worried about Shizuru."

Natsuki's dad rolled his eyes and said, "How predictable."

Natsuki asked, "What do you mean?"

Natsuki's dad answered, "You're either worrying about her or complimenting her like crazy everyday. You're obsessed with her."

Natsuki asked, "Is it wrong to be concerned about the love of my life?"

Natsuki's dad answered, "I'm not sure."

Natsuki's mom did agree with her husband that Natsuki talked about Shizuru pretty much all the time, but she knew that Natsuki just did that because she had a big heart. She asked, "What's your latest problem with Shizuru?"

Natsuki answered, "Her house might get broken down so a businessman can put up a dumb building."

Natsuki's dad replied, "That's actually a pretty good idea. I could have the living room broken apart so I could put up an office in my house."

Natsuki's mom glared at her husband and said, "That won't happen."

Natsuki said, "I'm worried that Shizuru will have trouble finding a place to live."

Natsuki's mom replied, "Shizuru makes plenty of money and this is a big city so you shouldn't worry. If Shizuru can't find a place she can move into our guest room." Natsuki blushed with embarrassment at the thought of living with her girlfriend.

Natsuki's dad replied, "I refuse to let anybody live in the guest room."

Natsuki's mom asked, "Why?"

Natsuki's dad answered, "My friends often stay at the guest room."

Natsuki's mom replied, "You're only friends with them, because they're rich people who buy everything for you."

Natsuki's dad said, "The whole point of getting a guest room was to make money."

Natsuki's mom replied, "If Shizuru moved in she would pay for the guest room."

Natsuki's dad got excite over the thought of getting money. He faced Natsuki and said, "Tell Shizuru to live in the guest room."

Natsuki drove to Shizuru's house. She looked around and saw the businessman and a wrecking crew. The businessman asked, "How come you haven't started wrecking these houses apart?"

One of the wrecking crew members said, "The people that live in the houses have to move out first. Plus you need legal permission from the Mayor?"

The businessman said, "Getting permission from him shouldn't be too hard. I'm prepared to give him plenty of bribes."

Natsuki walked up to Shizuru's house door and knocked on it. Shizuru opened the door and said, "Hi honey."

Natsuki replied, "Hi Shizuru." She hugged Shizuru. She thought that a comforting hug was what Shizuru needed, but she was the one that truly needed it.

Shizuru hugged Natsuki and asked, "What's going on?"

Natsuki held hands with Shizuru and said, "I think that I know how to take care of all of this house drama."

Shizuru asked, "What's your plan?"

Natsuki blushed while saying, "My parents gave me permission to have you move into the guest room."

Natsuki turned around, because she heard the businessman whining. The businessman was arguing with the Mayor over the phone. The businessman said, "This street would be a perfect place for my new company."

The Mayor replied, "I don't like the idea of good houses being shut down for another one of your silly companies."

The businessman got off the phone and said, "I wasn't able to get permission to put the company on this street. The people that live here have no need to move out."

One of the wrecking crew workers asked, "Do we at least get paid for coming here?"

The businessman answered, "If you want money you should whine to the Mayor." The businessman went into his limo and started doing an angry speech.

Natsuki faced Shizuru and said, "This means that you won't have to move out. I'm glad that you get to keep your house." Natsuki felt embarrassed for asking Shizuru to move into her house so she hoped that Shizuru wouldn't bring it up.

Shizuru smiled and said, "I was incredibly flattered that you asked me to move in with you."

Natsuki blushed and said, "I wasn't really asking you to move in with me. It was a last resort in case you couldn't find a place to live."

Shizuru replied, "It was still a wonderful gesture. You and your parents are kind people. If you ever deal with a similar problem you can move into my house."

Natsuki tried to hold back another blush and said, "Lets not talk about moving in. It was a silly thing to bring up at this point of our relationship. We've only been dating for a few months so lets not think about it."

Shizuru replied, "I didn't mean to embarrass you. I just want you to know that even though we don't live together you make my heart feel at home whenever you're around."

Natsuki looked a little upset while saying, "You're too cute. I'm going to look like a red marker got over me, because of much you make my face blush with embarrassment."

Shizuru kissed Natsuki and said, "Thank you for always helping me. There's nobody that helps me more than you."

Natsuki replied, "I feel the same way about you. Even though we live in separate houses I feel like we live in permanent love." Natsuki no longer felt alone, because had a bond with Shizuru that was strong that she could feel her true love's support everywhere she went. Natsuki and Shizuru both secretly hoped to live with each other someday, but they already felt like they were roommates in the house of blushing happiness.
