A/N: This little blurb was originally intended to be included in one of the longer stories already published, but it never quite seemed to fit. It's fun, so I thought I'd post it anyhow. Enjoy!

Scene

Daisy was just starting dinner when Bo came inside, oil-stained and muddy from working on the tractor in the yard with Cooter. He picked up an apple from the table, and glanced into the living room as he took a bite. Bo grinned between crunchy chews, seeing Luke asleep on the couch.

"Boy, don't he look like a hound dog chasin' a rabbit in his sleep," Bo commented, and Daisy turned to look. Stretched out under the blankets on the couch, Luke slept curled on his side, moving in small twitches in some dream.

"Get 'em, Bo," he muttered aloud, shifting a little.

Daisy smiled too, but she wiped her hands and walked around Bo to her elder cousin's side. "Luke, wake up, sweetheart," she called softly, rubbing his shoulder through the blankets.

Blue eyes flew open and looked up, unfocused, at Daisy.

"They get away?" he asked sleepily.

"No, Luke, you got 'em," Daisy reassured him with a smile.

"Oh, m'kay," Luke mumbled, closing his eyes again. "S'okay, Bo, we got 'em." Then he was asleep again, peaceful and quiet.

Bo, on the other hand, was doubled over in silent, barely contained laughter. It was the funniest damned thing he'd seen all week. Daisy slapped his shoulder as she returned to the kitchen, but she was smiling too.

"Oh, you stop, Bo!" she chided. "He's wore out! And it still don't match you sleepwalking your way into Uncle Jesse's room last fall, saying you had a nightmare," Daisy reminded him.

Bo blushed scarlet. Was he ever gonna live that one down? "Oh, come on now, Daisy, that was in the middle of the harvest, an' I'd been going ninety miles an hour all week!" he protested, but Daisy was too busy reminiscing.

"There you were in the morning, curled up in Uncle Jesse's bed, sucking your thumb…"

"I was not!"

"…and looking like you needed a teddy bear to hold…"

"Daisy!"
