Naqitas' Journey

Author's Note: My old account was guitargrlc, so I did not steal this story from myself. I decided to re-do it because I thought it was a pretty good story,

despite my writing and typing skills. For those of you who know what I'm talking about, I'm sorry. I look back now and am amazed at how I favored the exclamation points and question marks. So, so, so very sorry. All right, here goes nothing. Be patient with me, please. I've found that I have to re-type 10 chapters (thought I may not include a few since they're pointless) and I have a few projects that I need to do, so I won't be able to write everyday. I give the original authors of Zelda all the credit for their characters except for Naqita(pronounced Na-KEE-ta), Angel, the Keioa tribe, Nena, Jake, and some towns. If there are any other characters later on, I'll be sure to tell you. Thanks for reading this and if you'd like, R/R (read and review), but I'm not going to force you. All right, I'm done my ramblings. Enjoy. God bless!!!

Prologue

Naqita made her way through the deserted village, her horse by her side. She did not want to disturb the silence that engulfed her, although it did make her feel a bit uncomfortable. Her horse could sense her hesitation as she slowed her pace, bewildered. She did not understand why she was told to come here and the mystery of it all was beginning to get to her. Sighing, she began to look around as the hair on her body began to stand on end. She couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was watching her every move. "Hello? Is anybody here?" To answer her question, she heard a mysterious voice calling her name from an alleyway that looked as though it would continue on for ages. Quite frightened by this, she drew her sword and walked over to the area. "Hello...?" As soon as she spoke again, a blinding light came out of the darkness and a loud, yet benign voice began to speak to her. Naqita squinted her eyes, trying to make out the form that was beginning to appear from the light. "Naqita, I am here to send you on a quest." Naqita, still squinting, shook her head. "Who exactly are you?" The being smiled. "All you need to know is that I am sent from the One above." Alarmed by this, she quickly shielded her eyes with her arm. "Are you certain that I am the one to send on this quest?" Fear, for the first time in her life, could be heard in her voice. The angel smiled. "Of course I am." Gently, he removed her arm from shielding her eyes. Amazed at the angel she saw before her, she remained still, unsure of what to do. "You are trying to save your home, Hyrule. You must go and retrieve your partner and bring him back there." Naqita frowned. "Hyrule..? Is Hyrule in danger?" The angel paused before answering her question. "Yes. Evil has returned and it 'tis up to you both to save the land. Now, you should be off on your journey to find this young man." The angel looked towards the entrance where she had come from. "You shall meet him north of here in Galicenal Village. He will be waiting for you upon the largest hill which overlooks the town." The light began to fade and all Naqita could help but do was stare at the beautiful angel as he began to float upwards. Soon after, it was as if he had disappeared.
