Walk of Shame
----------------------------------------------------------------
Who am I?
You should know best of all,
You see me every time you look in the mirror,
No, we don't have the same name,
But I'm lurking inside your laughing eyes,
Swimming underneath your lightheartedness.
-o:(o):o-
I'm the one who calls you a liar,
Who laughs at your bizarre charade,
You play your masquerade for the world,
Flaunting your mask for all to see,
But I see your crying face underneath,
(… you can't hide forever …)
-o:(o):o-
You and I share your dirty little secrets,
The differences between who you are,
And who you pretend to be,
At night, I chase your sweet dreams away,
And I spitefully drive the tears down your face,
Causing a current, a river, a waterfall of regret,
(… you can't pretend forever…)
-o:(o):o-
The only way to break free is to be washed,
Your only escape lies in another's shame,
That cross (cursed it may be) is your ticket out,
And you would rather pretend it doesn't exist.
(… you can't ignore it forever …)
-o:(o):o-
That's the beauty of my game,
Of my trap that you've put yourself in.
You can't bear the truth so you hide it
But only the truth can set you free
By admitting your weakness,
His strength is perfected.
That's you're only way out.
Will you let your pride down?
Just for one honest moment?
-o:(o):o-
… I didn't think so…

John 3:17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemnthe world but that the world through Him might be saved."
John 3:18 "He who believes in Him is notcondemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil
John 3:20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed

My name is Shame and you're playing my game.
… you can't play forever …

Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
Isa 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed."

… your time is running out, but why stop now?

Heb 9:27 It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,
