Callie was in heaven.
She had the best girlfriend.
It was three days after she'd been released from the hospital, still recovering from her bout of the chicken pox, when Arizona had come bounding into her room and practically dragged her out to the living room with an unusually high amount of enthusiasm (even for her). What she found when she got there though, was by far the most amazing thing she'd ever seen...
A pillow fort.
No, not just a pillow fort- it was a gigantic pillow fort. Made from sheets and blankets and every pillow in the apartment. All tied down and propped up, covering every surface from wall to wall.
The smile on her face must have been telling because when Arizona saw it she clapped happily, in that dorky way she always did when something really excited her (which she secretly adored), and tugged her down the rabbit hole.
Once she was inside, she realized that there was a mattress on the floor in front of the couch and the TV was the focal point of their new little 'club house'. What she didn't expect however was her roommate sitting in the corner, wearing her flannel pajamas, hugging a bowl of Cheeto's protectively to her chest as she shoveled them into her mouth.
Callie laughed, still in awe of the structure as she flopped down next to her into a pile of blankets and wiggled around until she was comfortable.
"So what's first on the agenda?" she asked eagerly.
Arizona grinned and held up three DVD's, "Dinner and a movie?"
"Any of those have blood and guts?" Cristina mumbled through a mouthful of dusty orange treats, making Callie's scoff and roll her eyes, "What? If you think I'm gonna watch some girly chick flick, then you're a moron."
"I'm sure we can compromise..."
Callie brightened, watching her girlfriend rummage through their extensive movie library, "Can we watch the eyecandy again? Pleeeeeease?"
"Really, Calliope?" she huffed, "Underworld again? What is that... ten times already?"
Cristina's interest piqued, "Vampires are hot. I'm in."
Arizona sighed, but opened the case and put it into the player anyways.
Callie was right.
Best. Girlfriend. Ever.
End.
