RAINY NIGHT
DISCLAIMER: I own none of the sailor moon characters or anything sailor moon related. :)
''Am I not good enough?'' The raven haired boy asked as he held her shoulders and the rain fell around them. "Am I not good enough?" He asked her again, but this time with more feeling. He loosened his grip realizing that her friends were watching.
"Sieya, I-," was all Usagi could say. He got off the ground and extended his hand to her. "Shall we?" She nodded and placed her hand in his. He helped her get up and was now walking with her past her friends.
"Usagi." Rei whispered as they passed.
'Rei and the others are truly worried about me.' She thought to herself.
Seiya hasn't came to school in a while since everyone had found out they were all Senshi. Usagi didn't let that stop her and neither did Seiya. In her mind he was always with her, calling her Odango and making her smile and laugh like he always did. He has been there for her over the last few months. She smiled to herself, 'He's been great at keeping my mind here.'
She watched him as he led her through the rain. She knew he cared for her a great deal. She cared for him too. 'Should I tell him?' She thought to herself before being interuppted.
"Odango, we're at your house now. Maybe I should get going." He said, but before he could move away he just stared at her.
"Seiya it's raining, why don't you come in and dry off.'' She suggested not really wanting him to go. 'Why did I just ask him that?'
He nodded and she unlocked the door. He followed her in taking off his shoes. "Seiya, I can go and get some towels if you like?'' She asked. He nodded again, unsure why she suggested to get him towels.
'Last time I was here I invited myself, but now she invited me.' He thought before being hit with a towel in the back. He turned to see Usagi with four towels in her arms and one on the floor.''Odango why do you need so many?'' He laughed.
''Well if you're staying then you're gonna have to sit on the towels so my mom doesn't wonder why there's water everywhere." She smiled and stopped in front of him, placing a towel on his head. "So you can dry your hair.''
"Thank you."
They both walked into the living room and she placed towels on the floor for them to sit on before disappearing down the hallway. Seiya shrugged and sat on one of the towels trying to make himself comfortable on the floor. He decided to lay back after a few minutes, tired of sitting straight up. He placed his hands behind his head and started to doze off.
His eyes quickly opened when he felt her lay close to him. She was warm. Her clothes and his might have been soaked but when she touched him it felt as if the sun were shining directly on them. He grinned, "Is everything okay?"
"Seiya I need to tell you some things.'' Her voice had a hint of sadness.
"Anything, Odango, you can tell me.''
"Seiya," she paused, "you are good enough." She bit her lip, unsure what to say next. A silence fell over the room. He pulled her against his body more, hugging her with everything he had.
He sighed. 'Her Mamo-chan would kill me if he knew what I was thinking about doing.' He shut his eyes, he didn't want this moment to end. He knew he eventually had to leave, but he was afraid to leave her. His princess came first, he knew that all too well. 'She needs me.' He thought. 'Or am I fooling myself trying to hide the fact I need her?'
"Seiya, will you stay?"
His heart fluttered at the question. She wanted him to stay with her. To keep her company. Then reality hit him. "I...I want to..."
She frowned. "Are you okay?"
He took a deep breath. "I can't stay all night. As much as I liked too, it'd be hard with Taiki and Yaten questioning my intentions every minute that passes."
"I see."
She looked heartbroken now. She moved away from him. 'Idiot, nice job.'
He sat up and scrathed his head. "I don't know how to say this."
She turned to him, curiously. "What?"
He took a deep breath. "I've fallen in love with you without even realizing it. Despite who I am you still want to be around me, which I think has made fall farther and farther."
"It doesn't matter who you are, you're Seiya to me. The cocky pop star calling me Odango any chance you get. You're always with me. You've helped me through this few months."
He smiled and lifted her head up to face him. "Odango." He tried to move but she wouldn let him.
"Please don't go yet. I don't want to be alone..." Her voice cut out. She sounded as if she wanted to cry more.
"Don't cry. I'll tell you what, let me kiss you and I will stay the whole night, or until your parents come home." He laughed as she slowly agreed. He looked her in the eyes and let his lips meet hers. She wrapped her arms around him.
She pulled away and blushed. He laughed and hugged her. This was going to be an interesting night.
