I blame my phone for any major errors.
Wrench
Storm could hear the screams from the other side of the airship. He knew what was going on. It always went on when Jet came home late.
But he didn't know why.
"Aren't they supposed to love each other?" He whispered. Storm knew he wasn't born smart like them but he knew something was terribly wrong.
He went to help Wave pick up the mess that had been made. She tried to soothe him, that everything will be alright, but Storm wished it never happened in the first place.
"You don't love him."
"I used to."
"Then why stay?"
"It's because of Storm. If I leave, Jet might go after him next in one of his stupors."
"You can bring him along. My friends and I will protect you guys."
"It's not that simple."
She had been humming when I entered her workshop.
How dare she be happy when I wasn't? We are a team. We are supposed to feel exactly the same.
I felt angry right then.
The bottle I had barely missed her arm.
"What the hell!?" She was angry. Perfect.
"You're mine, Wave."
It usually happened when Jet was away.
She would take him to visit their friends. He had little competitions with Knuckles and Sonic while Wave talked to Tails. Probably about mechanics.
She always was happy when she was with him.
Storm never saw her like that with Jet. Even when they were younger.
"Wave! What happened to you?"
" Tails. ...Jet... didn't take... my departure well."
"You came all the way in this state?"
"Yeah. I...I just...need...to rest..."
"Please stay awake! Wave, wake up!"
I've failed again.
The last of the liquid left the bottle.
I failed at keeping her by my side. I failed at making her listen. She was always so disobedient. I failed at making her love me.
My vision blurs. I broke my bottle. I see a person in the workshop. It's Storm.
I know she loves him. She always kept him close. Stroked him when he was crying. Sung to him. Laughed with him.
She isn't supposed to feel happy without me.
Storm was lonely.
He hadn't seen Wave or Jet ever since the big fight, which had been a few days ago. He had gotten floating around in the empty airship
He had her favorite wrench in his hands when Jet had appeared.
"Hey, boss." The albatross greeted his leader. Jet didn't reply. Storm's eyes then saw the jagged ends of the bottle.
Storm then felt scared.
He reacted quickly when his boss attacked him.
He felt the wrench break something.
"Poor guy's shaking."
"I don't blame him. He didn't intend for that to happen."
"What could he do, Tails? Jet had tried to hurt him."
"Storm, it's alright. No one's blaming you."
Storm barely registered Tails's words. He did wrong. He ruined everything. He wanted everything to go back the way it had been before.
He looked at the pile of dirt again.
Once, they had planned to be the best rogues of all time.
What had gone wrong?
