A/N- Okay, I had another story up (same title, different content) for the Ship Week challenge, but I was really unhappy with the way it turned out so after a total of 14 hours up I took it down and here is the rewrite, about 15 minutes before the deadline. Whatever, I was always a procrastinator.
OMG guess what? My next door neighbor just introduced me to Pokémon, and I was like WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?
This is rated T because of a bit in the first stanza, which you can take to mean a friendly game of checkers or something a little bit… dirtier. If that's what you like to read.
Anyway, this is for the PJO Ship Week, which was introduced to me by the fabulous Wonderstruck Pen, and the pairing is Thalia/Luke.
This fic is for Wonderstruck Pen, for getting me into PJO fics and ships and just being an all-around awesome person, and also to PhantomWhispers for helping me improve the rewrite!
Disclaimer- I don't own PJO or anything connected with it. However, I do own this obscenely long author's note.
Boys are for Mortals
A hesitant touch
A careful kiss
A night together
In total bliss
Awoken from dreaming
Reliving the night
Back to reality
A pull she can't fight
Betrayed by her love
To darkness he turned
A heart truly lost
Can't be returned
Waking up from dreams
Speaking his name
Hiding a passion
With no one to blame
Perpetually single
With the threat of removal
No guys allowed
Not under Artemis' approval
Strictly enforced
Not dared to be broken
Her love for him
Must go unspoken
He left her for
The darkness within
All by herself
Future looking grim
While frozen in time
He forgot their history
Leaving his heart behind
Feelings a mystery
One day this will end
Like gods, we're immortal
But until then
Boys are for mortals…
