Mayuri sat at the desk, eyes filled with something emotions indescribable.. He was gazing at the clear sky, nothing but the moon in sight. His daughter, Nemu, sat only a desk away of his disapproving gaze, biting her lips to avoid tears. The distance between them was almost nothing; the only thing that dared to get between them was air that franticly tried to escape the feud about to happen. The older man's hand wildly taped the desk filed with holes from his tapping from previous days. Today, he had a good reason to beat his desk to shreds.. This time, he had a good reason to worry. His daughter had just something that could kill her...

Mayuri sneered. He leaving was not an option. No no no. This girl was extremely naïve. She may be weak compared to him, but she was incredibly strong and smart to those imbeciles in the other squads. He had taught her nearly everything, hoping one day she'd stop being Nemu and act like her father.. She knew of plenty intelligence that could be used against soul society, making her a weapon no one suspected but captains and companions. She wouldn't make the escape. Someone would find out.

"Well I'm not spending any more time with you! All you do is ruining my life!"She yelled back at the silent man.

"This is stupid" he murmured, "I don't have time for your pity party. He raised his self up, yawned, and slowly stepped towards the lab entry way.

"Are you even listening? Do you even care? " She shouted. Mayuri still wasn't paying attention; he turned around and left the office, muttering about getting new parts for a better daughter.

Nemu stood at the window still, ready to jump. Mayuri was asleep. No one would notice she was gone.

Not that he would care of course. Mayuri had never thought that she, a robot, probably had more sophisticated feelings than him. She was always trying to be the perfect daughter, yet he still hated her for being perfect. She would let loose and be normal like the other girls, and he would have the slight urge to fix that imperfection while battling his, "perfect is bad" theory.

Shadowy figures swam around the streets below her, causing trouble and making money. Everything was quiet expect the head captains snoring. The suns new arrival unto the world caused the blurry shadows to disappear, signaling Nemu that it was time to go.
