Are you Sirius?

"I'm bored," Sirius announced, swinging his legs round off the chair he'd previously been slouched upon in the empty common room. It was the holidays, and most people, including Peter, had gone home to spend it with their families.

"Well, that makes a change," Remus began, "seriously; you can't be content for five minutes without having to do something? If you can't annoy Snape, can spend no more time admiring yourself in the mirror and James would rather go off chasing Lily round the school than play pranks with you…you're doomed."

"Siriusly? Of course I am…"

"Don't say it! I've heard that pun so many times I can't count it anymore!"

"…and if I do?"

"I shall have to tackle you and force you never to say it again."

"Seriously?" Remus jumped up at Sirius' words - Sirius following suit - dropped the long forgotten book he'd been reading, preparing for war.

Sirius held out his hand in front of him. "Wait."

"What?"

"This is starting to sound like a bet. You win, pin me down for 8 seconds, I will never use that pun again, if I win…your loss. I shall be aloud to torment you forever more."

"Deal." Remus jumped at Sirius, knocking him onto the floor. A pretty even match the pair tackled for a minute or two. Remus' heart beat nineteen to the dozen at the closeness of his friend, something he constantly longed for. Sirius was right to admire himself, he was so beautiful, rugged yet gentle, he thought as he looked into Sirius' eyes. They twinkled with mischief…Remus was no longer paying attention to combat, Sirius had him pinned down on his back. Sirius grinned and Remus suddenly realised, but before he could take any action, he felt a warm sudden pressure against his lips. His mind swam, taking in the softness of lips and warmth of breath, and as quickly as it occurred, the moment ended.

"What..?" He whispered longingly as he took in what happened.

"7, 6, 5, 4..." Sirius had KISSED him… "3, 2, 1" Actually KISSED him! "Ha! I win." Sirius let go and rolled onto the floor next to Remus, who was still unable to believe it. They lay in silence for a while.

"Sirius," he said, rolling over so he was leaning above his friend, like Sirius had been a moment before, "what was that?" his face was a deep crimson, his palms hot and sweaty.

"A kiss."

"I know. But, why?" Remus sat up and Sirius did the same.

"Moony, you know I'll do anything to win a bet." Remus' heart seemed to fall with a thump.

Sirius cupped Remus' chin in his hands and kissed him again, properly this time, and Remus, subconsciously did so back, in his element. Eventually they pulled away. "Remus, I love you, fool."

Remus' eyes glittered then a look of suspicion came over his face, Sirius read him like Remus read his books, "and yes, Remy, I am Sirius."
