A/N: So, this is my first story I've ever written on FF, so I hope you guys like it. It's Addison/Owen from Grey's Anatomy and though these two have never had a scene together, they are one of my favorite couples. They just seem like they would match in my opinion. Enjoy!

It's been about a year now

I ain't seen or heard from you

I've been missin' you crazy

How do you, how do you sleep?

Addison Montgomery opens her eyes in the middle of the night, sitting up straight. She sighs as she realizes she has had yet another one of her nightmares. She has been having the same dream almost every day for about a year. Except for it isn't exactly a dream, it's more like reliving the worst thing that has ever happened to her over and over again.

She swings her legs over the side of her king size bed that used to be shared with her lover, and runs her fingers through her long red hair. She sighs and slowly begins to stand to walk downstairs to her kitchen. She sits at her dining room table with a glass of water in front of her when she sees the cream-colored envelope peeking out from a stack of papers.

"That's funny… I've never noticed that…" She mumbles to herself as she gets up to retrieve it. Once getting it, she sits and flips it over to see her name written in near-perfect calligraphy. Her eyebrows furrow at the perfection in front of her, but she opens the envelope anyway.

When she opens the letter inside, tears sting her eyes, her breath hitches in her throat, and her heartbeat sped up for a moment. Owen. It was from him. She brought the paper to her nose, letting the scent calm her before beginning to read it. It still smelled like her favorite cologne he would wear.

I found the letter you wrote me

It still smells just like you

Man, those sweet memories

How do you, how do you sleep?

As she began to read the letter, her thoughts began to race. When was this letter written? When could he possibly have given it to her? His handwriting scribbled across the page, his scent surrounding her, it was almost too much for her. Before she could even finish, a tear rolled down her cheek. She missed him so much.

Once she finished the letter, she wiped her cheeks free of the tears and sighed. When her emotions had calmed down, she took a deep breath as she put the letter back in the envelope and ran her fingers over the calligraphy. It didn't make much sense to her. The letter had said that he missed her, wanted her back, needed to be with her, and loved her, but why now? Why after a year?

Her thoughts were interrupted when a hand was placed on her shoulder. She jumped by the unexpected contact, and looked to find the face that belonged to this hand. That's when she saw him. He didn't look too good. His face was pale, there were dark circles under his eyes, and he seemed to have lost a bit of weight. But he still had that look in his eyes whenever he used to look at her. It was full of complete love and passion, no dishonesty or fakeness was present, just pure happiness. Her lips turned upright into a small smile.

"Wh-What are you doing here?" She asked him, stuttering a bit. She was surprised to see him, yet she was so happy that this might be the reunion she had been longing for.

"I came for you." He said and her small smile turned into a huge, bright grin. This was something she had been longing for, and it was finally here.
