Author's Note: Ahh, 'tis the season of shopping and sales! Hi there! Lil here! I, for one, am angered and appalled at the commercialism of the holiday season, and how everyone is duped into buying their loved ones whatever gift they think they need but really don't. It should be the season of love and celebration, not mall hopping and toy searching! I find it detesting that the holidays have turned into such a material fiasco! So here, I give you all a gift! A short and sweet story about what the holiday season should be about, sure to leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling inside! Hope you enjoy! Please review, as this is my first Walker fic! Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it and may your stockings be full of candy and your computer screen be full of fanfiction!

Disclaimer: I unfortunately do not own the show or characters from Walker, Texas Ranger. I do wish that I owned a certain blond-haired and blue-eyed Ranger Hunk named Gage, but alas, I do not.

All I Want For Christmas

It was a lovely winter's evening, and time for the annual Christmas party at the Walker household. Friends and family gathered near, and it was a time to celebrate! There were bright decorations and great music playing! People were laughing, dancing, talking, everyone was having a good time!

The one exception to this was a certain Texas Ranger, sitting all alone. He was not enjoying the party at all. In fact, if you were to see him, you may say he looked nervous, even worried about something. But what could someone be worried about in such a happy and festive environment? Nothing could spoil such a great party, and it was Christmas, after all! He should be having fun with his friends. The truth was, he was very worried that he would not get the thing he wanted most for Christmas this year.

Such a shallow and trivial thing to be thinking about, you may say! But you would not be saying that if you knew what it was that he wanted, for what he was hoping for was not some cheap trinket! If we wait, we will soon find out what is on the top of his wish list!

The celebration wore on, and the evening grew late. Soon it was that time again… time to give and receive presents! It was the moment that he feared, and yet, looked forward to the most! He was extremely anxious to see if he was going to get what he most desired!

The party wore on, and he had received and given all of his gifts, except for one. He had gotten several lovely and thoughtful things, but none of them mattered to him, they weren't what he wanted. He had been waiting all night, and now was his chance to get what he really wanted for Chrismas!

He finally built up all of his courage and approached his partner with trepidation, handing her a small and beautifully wrapped box. When she gave him a strange look, as she had already received a present from him earlier, he just smiled at her. She unwrapped it while everyone looked on, and he began looking nervous again.

Gage waited, holding his breath, as Sydney opened the box. When she saw the ring inside, there was a look of shock and surprise on her face and a sparkle in her eyes! As he took her hand and dropped down to one knee, he knew by her smile that he had finally gotten what wanted most for Christmas!
