The battle of Minas Tirith
Chapter 1 The defence of the Wall
My mind is racing, I've killed many an orc this night but they just keep coming. I'm on the walls of Minas Tirith and I'm shooting orcs on the ground and in the battle towers. Gandalf is right there shouting encouragement and killing orcs with his staff and sword. He is like a whirlwind. He destroys everything in his path. An orc with a hammer and shield comes at me. He swings with his hammer and I duck. I take an arrow out of my quiver and I block the swing of his shield with my arm. It hurt's like fire, but then I lunge in and stab him in the throat with the arrow with my left hand. A slight groan escapes his throat, but then he collapses on the cold stone floor of Minas Tirith. I pick up my bow and shoot at an orc about to stab one of my comrades in the back. He looks at me and nods his thanks. Another orc comes at me with a sword and I block with my bow, that he chops in half. I then draw my sword with my right hand, and an arrow with my left. He swings, I parry. I stab he blocks.
This orc isn't one of those mindless orcs that come out of the pits. This is an Uru-Khai. He must be sent by Saruman. I've heard story's about these creatures. A breed of a mixture of Goblin and orc. Truly terrifying.
The Uruk swings right I block left and while his sword is against mine I stab his arm with the arrow I was holding. He shrieks in pain. In that moment I unhook my sword and stab him in the stomach. He then shrieks an even louder roar. I take out a second arrow and stab him in the forehead, just to finish him off.
Two more siege towers crash into the wall. We will soon be overrun. I shout and charge the nearest tower. As soon as the door opens I lunge into them. I punch, hit, swing, stab, and push. The other soldiers, inspired by my bravery, charge at them too. We soon kill all of them on the tower and set it alight. I jump off the tower and stab an orc while I fall.
I get up but as soon as I get to feet a Nazgul on his flying menace hoists me up in the air. The Fellbeasts claws dig through my armour and into my skin. I grab it's leg in my one hand and chop of its claws and fingers in the other. It shrieks in agony and I climb onto it's back. The Nazgul sees me and tries to push me off but I grab his arms and hoist him into the air but he grabs his stead's foot. In that moment I bring my sword up and stab the fellbeast straight through the neck. It roars in agony. Knowing it's close to death, it doesn't have the energy to move even if I try to steer.
It's heading straight to the wall.
