Author notes:I haven't done this in quite a while. I wanted to get back into writing but rather then leap right in with a multi-chapter epic, I decided to crawl back in with a few drabbles. So, here we are. Whoo! As always constructive critisim is welcome.
Lots of love and hugs for the Roleplay group at DGD and to Toss in particular who sorted out a few of my grammar and punctuation problems.
Warnings: None. Moving on.
Disclaimer: Hm, it's probably a good thing that I don't own DGM…

A great man once said that an army marches on it stomach. Jeryy, head chef of the Black Order, knew this better then anyone.
Because of the lack of a glowing sword or, preferably, a magical frying pan Jeryy couldn't fight against the Akuma. Not like the Exorcists could. All he could do was cook meal after meal for the Exorcists and make sure they were in top condition before sending them out to war.
He took great pleasure in preparing food for when they returned; it was better than thinking of the alternative. He liked to think that simply the thought of a hot meal and a warm smile waiting for them was be of some comfort to the Exorcists, most of them, and every dish was as nutritious as it was delicious.
Plus, Jeryy knew some people would face all manner of hellish evil and hardships just for a taste of his cooking. It was as close to a guarantee of their return as he was going to get.
Although Jeryy was a culinary genius and was unmatched in the kitchen he was sadly lacking when it came to things like science, technology and chemistry, although some could argue that chemistry was just cooking only with less explosion and something you could nibble on afterwards.
That that didn't mean he couldn't help the Science division by fuelling them with a near endless supply of coffee and assorted pastries. He didn't really approve of the huge amount of sugar and caffeine the Scientists ingested but sometimes there just wasn't time to eat a proper meal; besides, this just gave him an excuse to storm the labs to drag them from their numbers and charts and force a proper meal into them. Komui was spared such undignified treatment (he did a fine enough job of embarrassing himself without help) but Jeryy would occasionally sneak into Komui's office to leave a bowl of warm soup for the sleeping Supervisor.
Jeryy wasn't an Exorcist or a Scientist but he was still a member of the Black Order and he fought back in whatever way he could.
