Chapter 1:

A teenage boy named Mitch sat under a tree playing Pokémon Platinum Version, his shoulder-length dark brown hair swaying back and forth with the wind.

On the screen, Mitch's Jirachi and Giratina double battled against a duo of Mewtwo and Rayquaza from elsewhere in the world. Rayquaza's Dragon Pulse attack caused his Giratina to faint, leaving only his Jirachi. At last, Mewtwo used a Shadow Ball attack on Jirachi, causeing it to faint too. Mitch looked quite angry, which is typical for someone who enjoys video games.

"Crap, beat again," he complained, "oh well."

He stood up, standing about six foot two inches, which is tall for a boy who is only fifteen years old. He brushed grass and dirt off of his black baggy jeans and walked inside of his house. The house smelled like pizza, he was hungry, so he ran to the kitchen to grab a slice. He began eating and ran up to his room and jumped on his bed, admiring all the Pokémon related posters on his wall. He began thinking: what if Pokémon were real?

Mitch stood at one side of the Pokémon Stadium, grabbing hold of a Pokéball, ready to throw. On the other side was another teenager, with dark green hair, a red-orange jumpsuit and dark green shoes. An ace trainer. He too was holding a Pokéball, ready to throw it. They stared eachother with menacing smiles on their faces - obvious rivals. Fans on the bleachers cheered.

Mitch threw his Pokéball on one side of the Pokéball colored center of the stadium, as did the Ace Trainer. A Salamence appeared as if from nowhere on Mitch's side. The Ace Trainer threw his and a Tyranitar appeared on his side.

"Salamence! Use Dragon Dance!"

The blue dragon flew in the air and began swirving around like dragon dancers do in the Asian country China. The Dragon-type dropped to the ground again and smiled as his power and speed boosted.

"Tyranitar, Crunch!"

The dinosaur-like Pokémon slowly walked towards Salamence, opened its mouth wide and closed it on Salamence's leg. The dragon winced in pain, and then flew up into the clear blue sky…

Mitch stopped thinking about it. He smiled at the thought of real Pokémon.

"As if," he said to himself.

He rolled over and decided to take his daily nap.
