Disclaimer: Obviously, I don't own the Bible. Who can own God's words? And I don't own Camp Rock, and I don't own the song "This Is Me." And I'm not making money by posting this story. Whew.

A/N: Original completion date: 11/21/10, in the unlikely event that anyone is interested. I guess this poem is kind of an autobiographical work, but it's meant to praise God, not me.

Warning: There is one word in this poem that is used as a curse word; however, I rated the poem K because when the word is used literally, it's not a swear word at all.

"Lord, Send Me!"

I've always been a timid girl:

I hide my face,

Always scared to tell the world

What the Scriptures say.

But my faith, it burns

Bright inside of me.

I have to let it show—

It's time to let it go,

And let them know. . .

Here am I! Lord, send me

To whichever place You want me to be, now.

Let Your holy light shine from me!

I am free! I'm in Him!

So how can I hold it in?

No more hiding what He's done for me—

Lord, send me!

They don't know that they're lost

And damned and in the dark.

While all we Christians live

As bright and shining stars.

Although I'm afraid

To rise and take a stand,

I have to stand up and stand firm,

Steadied by His hand.

Here am I! Lord, send me

To the places where You would have me be, now.

Let Your holy light shine from me!

I can see! I know Him!

So why should I hold it in?

No more hiding what He means to me—

Lord, send me!

You're the One in Whom I live and move

And have all of my being.

Why should I hide You? Why should I hide You?

You, the Lamb, were sacrificed,

All to atone for me.

Why do I hide You? Why do I hide You?

Here am I! Lord, send me!

May Your will be done, my God; may it be, now.

Let Your holy light shine from me!

May I be found in Him,

Not holding the gospel in.

No more hiding what He wants from me—

Lord, send me!

You, the Lamb, were sacrificed,

All to atone for me. (Lord, send me!)

You're the One in Whom I live and move

And have all of my being.

May I be found in Him,

Not holding the gospel in.

I am going to let the whole world see—

Lord, send me!
