A/N: This takes place right before uh, Return to New York, I believe. Can't remember the name of the episode, heh.

He couldn't believe she was leaving. It was the worst time for her to leave. He needed her. Needed her like had never needed anything else in his entire life.
The turtle remembered when he had first laid eyes on her. Almost gleaming in the moonlight, surrounded by Purple Dragons and then Foot Ninja. They had almost been beaten, but nothing was going to keep him from her that night.
She had been tough to crack at first. He always liked a good challenge, and his brothers simply weren't up to this kind of thing. No, it was up to him and him only, and in the end he managed it. He'd cracked her, and in the process made her something even better than what she started out as.
That was when his brothers started to warm up to her as well. Especially Mikey. In fact, Mike shared a kind of bond with her. But not the kind of bond he had. No one would ever have that kind of bond.
Oftentimes she was the main focus of his conversation, which would annoy his brothers, but he didn't care. How could something so perfect not be talked about?
He thought she was beautiful. Granted, there was a little more meat on her bones than was normal, but she still looked better than some of those tiny things they had out on the street now. And she looked great in green.
But now she was leaving. After tonight she'd be gone – past the point of no return. He almost couldn't stand it.
It was a good plan, of course, but he didn't want to have to sacrifice her. She was willing, though, and there was nothing he could do to stop her, even if she wanted to. They were counting on her to get through tonight.
When he'd heard the plan, he had to turn away from Leo to conceal his tears. He had spent so much time with her, grown to know her – possibly even love her. And she'd be gone in an instant.
"Donnie? What are you doing? We've only got a couple hours for you to finish your modifications!"
Don sighed. "I know, Leo." He raised his wrench in a silent salute to the truck in front of him, "I'll miss you, Battle Shell."
